Perfect few days

Ideal location, very central, perfect to explore all the city’s attractions. Although not too noisy. Easy check-in and check-out. Clean rooms and bathrooms and good facilties in the kitchen. Highly recommend, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Big value for money.

The worst hostel I've stayed in Europe: very rude staff

The night I checked in, the employee might disappointed that I was a Chinese studying in Sweden, not a real Swedish. I answered all the questions he asked and told him that I am a student. Then he repeated my answer "ok you are studying in Sweden"and inexplicably let a passing Chinese woman to translate what he said to me. I was shocked and felt offended. I don't know why he questioned my communication ability, then I told him I can understand the English he talked to me. I expressed my dissatisfaction, but the man did not really realize his rudeness until the end. This is the experience I've never had before when I traveled around Europe.
This hostel is in a small alley, but there are no obvious instructions outside, so it is not easy to find.
I was looking for a private room to have a good rest after a 7days adventure trip, but the sound-proof of this hostel was really bad. Sometimes could even hear clearly which movies was the next room watching or which song were they listening to. In addition, there is only one bathroom on the side where I live, so I have to wait for others to use it.
For the geographical location, because Cork city center is not very big, many places can be explored by foot, so this hostel does not have a real advantage in location.

Quiet and centrally located

Stayed here with my wife for a couple of days and found it to be very well located and very quiet since it is on a small street with basically no traffic.The rooms/bathrooms/shared areas were very clean and tidy. We found the staff to be friendly and willing to help whenever possible.

Friendly staff & Clean but with a catch

When I checked in the lady at reception was very friendly and gave some recommendations on where to eat and gave a map, the hotel is in a good quiet area and only about 5 minutes walk to the English market, The apartment is a good size and very clean so are the shared bathrooms. The problems are that the doors slam very easy and depending on the sort of people who are in your area it can be very noisy I was woken up at 3am by doors slamming from the people next-door who just came back in. also don't expect to sleep in the morning as the same problem happens from 9am.

4 day stay

i stayed 4 nights here...easy access of the major highway to dublin which is a hour or so away..the owner eric is super guy..always in there cleaning getting ready for next crew to come in..the place has 3bedrooms that they share a bathroom...still fort the money ya can't beat it..the room we stayed in had its own bathroom so we lucked out there..bedrooms very decent and comfy...ya have breakfast with there stay...there is a ref rig to share along with whole kitchen stove toasters dishes dishwasher ect..everythingh you may need to save little and cook you or whole family meal there
