Wonderful stay with outstanding food, spotless rooms, and true hospitality stars!

A wonderful hotel! Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and I was highly impressed by the wide variety of facilities available throughout the complex.
During our stay, we visited OD’s restaurant twice for dinner and twice for breakfast. The food is absolutely incredible—the goat's cheese bruschetta and the corn ribs were outstanding, and every single dessert was stunning! Huge compliments to the kitchen team and the chefs.
What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service from a few standout members of the staff. First, the young lady with glasses (who wore a yellow scarf instead of a tie)—she was an absolute professional, incredibly polite, competent, and cooperative at both breakfast and dinner services. Massive respect for her work ethic! Also, a huge thank you to Amy and Malek; their big smiles and top-tier hospitality will be remembered for a long time.
On top of that, all the housekeeping ladies were exceptionally polite and thoroughly professional.
While we noticed a slight contrast on the restaurant floor—as some of the other staff members seemed a bit unsure of their roles—the dedication of the individuals mentioned above, combined with the excellent food and spotless room standards, made our experience great. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Just ok

Stay here for 5 nights we always stayed here 8 times in 10 years
This time it was a bit disappointing

Bumped twice into the ceo patrick he wouldn't even say hello how rude
Been from a business background myself I know him
No point in the owner telling staff to be nice to people when the owner isn't

Rooms very warm so had window open and at 2 o'clock in the morning staff emptying bottles making awful noise is simply not on
3th night again same thing staff shouting at each other
I mentioned this to the receptionist but she seemed this interested

Food has gone down hill since we started coming here many years ago
Had dinner twice in the backstage bar
House burger at €23.50 very expensive
You get a burger and chips
Wife got the chicken wings for main course had to send them back absolutely freezing cold
Been a butcher wholesale I know exactly the quality and the price of these products
Sausages for breakfast are awful using 16s the second smallest ones on the market
Meat content 35% very poor
We went to the tower hotel for food Been frustrated by the mentioned
What a difference
Burger 8oz salad,coleslaw, chips €20
It was absolutely delicious
Wife had steak sandwich much better value then glen eagle

Got wkd blue.2 coke,still water my daughter picked up the wkd blue and coke
The barman shouted to my daughter you cannot drink this show me your I'd
It was hugely embarrassing for me and her and upset her
She had no intention of drinking this as it was for my wife
I said this to the barman he just walked away
Overall we do like the gleneagle all staff are helpful any room we stayed in are clean
We would have to reconsider next year if we would stay here again

Excellent place to stay

From time we arrived to time we left .we had a great time place was spotless clean very helpful and friendly staff. Entertainment was brilliant.

Gleneagle more like Fawlty Towers

Really disappointed with my stay at the hotel. I brought my son to the Dinosaur Show but I found the inflexibility of the receptionist a sight to behold. My son wanted to use the leisure centre and go to the show but as pool closed at 7pm we could not do that. We were told that we could go before the show but because they could not guarantee us a room before 4pm and the doors of the show opened at 4pm this would not be tenable unless we went to show soaking wet earlier on. We left the show at half time so we could use the leisure centre only to find out kids were left stay till 8pm. So we could have done both!!!When we arrived at room we paid a lot of money for a balcony to find our balcony was on the ground floor where we were eye to eye with passing motorists . Not idyllic or relaxing. To my horror there were discarded cigarette butts on the floor of the balcony. My son wanted to order room service but it was very limited and breakfast didn’t even have pudding or scrambled eggs when I asked. Soap shampoo and shower soap was awful again considering price of room. All in all if I am ever to go to a concert at the gleneagle again I will certainly stay somewhere else. I did not want to upset my son and complain as he is very sensitive, money is limited and this was to be our dream holiday week away and wanted to keep the magic for him and anyway these are just basic things a hotel should get right. Ps stayed at Mespil for Arsenal match in Dublin last Wednesday and I gave it a glowing report so this is not on me

We're very sorry that what was intended to be a special break with your son left you feeling so disappointed.
While check-in is from 4pm, your room was ready earlier and our team contacted you at 2:29pm to let you know. We are sorry, however, that the information you received regarding children's swimming times meant you changed your plans and missed part of the Dinosaur Show unnecessarily.
For safety reasons, families with children are accommodated in our ground-floor balcony rooms. We appreciate that this wasn't what you had envisaged when booking a balcony, and we will review how clearly this is communicated. Smoking is not permitted in our bedrooms or on their balconies, and the discarded cigarette butts should absolutely have been spotted and removed before your arrival. We apologise for this housekeeping miss.
Our room service breakfast includes a wider range of cooked options, including scrambled eggs and black and white pudding, so we're sorry if this wasn't made clear when you enquired.
There was clearly a combination of issues and miscommunication that took away from a break you had been looking forward to, and we're sorry we didn't give you and your son the Gleneagle experience we would have wanted.
