Atlantic Guest House is ideally located in the heart of Donegal town. It’s a comfortable stay and it offers a hearty breakfast.

Do not recommend

Stayed at the guest house with friends, had been on a night out and returned when a man claiming to be the owner knocked our door to tell us to be quiet, which was completely fair enough. However he proceeded to enter the room without giving us time to answer or open the door , with 3 young women in the room.
Asked him to leave and he put his foot in the door and proceeded to shout and intimidate us.
We felt our privacy was completely violated by this ‘owner’ entering our room without permission and opening the door himself, as we could have been getting changed etc.
This is absolutely unacceptable for a host to behave in such a way; and we will not be returning to this guesthouse as we didn’t feel safe even in our own room.
Do not recommend.

Does the job for a one night stay

The guesthouse lacked basic facilities for example not enough charging ports and there being shared bathrooms.There was also very thin walls with very loud doors meaning it was difficult staying there for longer than a few nights.The food was mediocre and nothing to write home about.The owners we not overly friendly and lacked empathy to there guests.The general place is old and dated with a musty smell.It does the job for one night and has very basic facilities but there are many other options around Donegal that are a lot better!

Hotel is cute and in a convenient location. Definitely in need of a renovation. The staff was really sweet and the included breakfast was delicious.
