Stylish hotel Central Dublin

The hotel is easy to find off the Dublin Express & is just a short walk & across the bridge
We arrived around 10:30am & a room was ready The Receptionist was friendly & efficient
The room was very clean & stylish but quite small We were there for 2 nights
Reception & bar areas celebrate Dublin & their authors & landmarks The bar staff were friendly & brought our drinks to us We couldn’t fault any staff All very helpful & pleasant
The hotel is in an excellent location We walked everywhere but there is a tram outside Plenty of bars & restaurants & just a short walk to Temple Bar
I have taken 1 star off due to the size of the room compared to the cost There is shower gel & hand wash only No other toiletries or bottled water although you can ask at the bar. Also the air con panel was flashing in the middle of the night It had stopped by morning so I didn’t report it but it happened again the next night The Smart tv is very temperamental.
I would recommend this hotel & the lovely staff

EXCELLENT HOTEL - SUPERB CENTRAL LOCATION

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location only a minute's walk from the Ha'penny Bridge. The staff are very friendly and helpful and whilst the rooms aren't that big, they're perfect for a short stay (we stayed four nights). My partner and I have previously stayed at the Motel One in Basel and later this year will stay at the Motel One in Manchester. Oh, and those blue sweets, worth the room rate in themselves!!

Location is spot on!

Stayed here for one night for work and it was just ok. Rooms were compact but didn't need much space as I was on my own. Breakfast was very basic and not worth the money. Restaurant area was very dingy - fine in the evening but not so great for breakfast. Clean and tidy throughout. Saving grace is the location - 5min walk to Temple Bar area and main shopping areas.

Shoebox room

No wardrobe, no place to put your suitcases. Room is really small, and the amenities are basic (black tea, one bottle of shampoo/shower gel). No bin in the room (only in the badroom). Make sure to ask for a room that is not next to an elevator. View is nothing (a courtyard)? There are beggars all around the hotel, but that's on Dublin I guess.
It's clean and the reception is friendly.

This place is BRUTAL!
It was our first two nights in Ireland.
The fans didn't work in our room or toilet, so we were forced to keep the window open all day and night.
We got to listen to seagulls screech all night long, trams coming and going, the garbage bins getting picked up at 6:00 am, the tram platforms being pressure washed at 6:30 am, the street people fighting all night....I can go on.
I told reception about the dilemma our first morning. Nothing was done about the situation. So we had to do it all over again night two!
No compensation was offered upon check out to us.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
