Staff were wonderful, food was amazing and the view was beautiful (would be an artist's dream). Hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable as we're the rooms.

Beautiful spot! The room was very spacious and peaceful, and clean and tidy. Very helpful and responsive hosts - messaging to inform about check-in and instructions of how to get in, which was all very helpful and very easy to do. Lovely staff at The Water's Edge, so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely one night stay here during our trip to Donegal, would highly recommend. Many thanks.

Everything was very clean ,very comfortable, spacious.The Bar nd Restaurant so welcoming, all of the staff so welcoming nd v helpful. Can't say enough about the
whole ambience of the place.

very cheap hotel for an very expensive price

Worst hotel ever in Ireland. €197 for an uncomfortable basic room (called a deluxe room). There was no chair or sofa to sit on, no place to put a suitcase; everything had to be put on the floor. There was no reception, no one was around, and the entire hotel was outdated. There was a view of the lake and a dirty terrace with no place to relax. No breakfast, although I think it was included in the price. They charged €65 for service...what service? No one saw anyone. No one answered, just a message with an access code. A cold hotel to avoid. The only positive was a good restaurant, thankfully independent of this motel.The booking had to be paid immediately, so cancelling was no longer possible because they no longer answer, this is pure theft

Beautiful location but i feel our check in was the most unwelcoming, unfriendly experience I ever had. We arrived to a self checkin in the middle of a power outage & no running water and received no communication or help from the management When I called the “emergency “phone number there was a curt voicemail saying “to leave a message”The code numbers in the lock boxes were very difficult to read even in daylight. The cost per night was very expensive considering there was no breakfast available even though there were bar and restaurant facilities in the their online advertising. Thankfully, a hotel in the locality kindly provided us with food and shower facilities.
