High quality decor

My boyfriend booked Maple Valley as a surprise weekend away for us. It was a good location to visit lots of tourist attractions in the area. We received a warm welcome and were promptly shown to our room (Hazel Room on the first floor). All the carpet and furnishings were of a high standard, the bed comfortable so we slept well and the whole accommodation clean and tidy. The only niggles were the glass door between the bedroom and bathroom. Whilst frosted it did let in daylight first thing in the morning as only a velux window with no blind in the bathroom. Unfortunately we forgot to pack shampoo, etc, and there were no mini toiletries, only a combined shampoo/body wash in the shower that was almost empty and as we had no room service for the two nights we stayed was not replaced and we never saw anyone at reception to ask. Also the double bed only had a bedside table on one side. We can't comment on breakfast as we chose to stay room only as wanted to leave early each morning to enjoy a full day out.

Wonderful staff, wonderful stay

Wonderful guesthouse with amazing staff. Maria, the manager, went above and beyond when I mentioned I had arthritic knees and mobility issues, making sure everything I needed was accessible. She is a wonderful soul and in a perfect position to make any guests' stay enjoyable.
The room had a very comfy bed, and all the necessary amenities. The walk-in shower had good pressure and plenty of warm water. The reception area is a great place to hang out for a drink and a chat.
There is an optional cooked to order breakfast at a very reasonable price.
Although it is a bit of a drive from Limerick City, there are plenty of attractions in the area including a number of castle ruins, a stone circle, and several nature areas with walking trails. You can also catch the Tarbert ferry for easy access to Killimer and the Kilrush area. A great place to escape the hustle and bustle and have a truly relaxing holiday.

Excellent business trip accommodation.

This was my first time staying here, on a business trip. I was a very late arrival but it wasn’t a problem at all for the owners. Self check in was simple and seamless. Very clear instructions were provided. I stayed in the Meadows room. The accommodation was very modern and the bed was super comfy. I had to leave early the next morning so unfortunately didn’t get to experience the breakfast that was offered.

Lovely clean Guesthouse with very friendly staff

Maple Valley Guesthouse in Shanagolden is an unassuming, pleasant, clean, friendly place to stay.
I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the Manager Maria, she is a Gem!!
The very lovely receptionist that checked us in, was very understanding when I called to advise I would be later than our planned checkin time, and put us at ease (we still managed to arrive at a reasonable time)
I would highly recommend staying here, and would have liked if our stay was longer than one night.

A perfect stay from start to finish *****

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the level of service and attention to detail at this hotel. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, with Renee going above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Our rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated. The beds were incredibly comfortable and all amenities were top notch, from the toiletries to the high speed Wi-Fi.
The breakfast menu was great, with a variety of fresh and delicious options.
What really set this hotel apart was the owner Michelle. Her friendly personality, knowledge and helpfulness was exceptional.
The location was ideal to explore South and West Ireland and also to relax.
We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!
