We had a great experience at Fosshotel Raudara, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were consistently amazing (very helpful and very friendly), the location is great (near the beginning of the major shopping street), the place is clean and well maintained, and the food at the breakfast was exceptional with a very wide selection. If you are in Reykjavik and want a proper hotel that doesn't break the bank (by Iceland standards), this is the place!

The issue why only 3 star was room given had Tub/shower and tub was high and no safety handles. Tub was very slippery and narrow. Also even with elevator, there are extra steps of stairs to reach the room so you need to carry your suit cases.

This is a bit of a gem with clean and comfortable rooms and a really good breakfast for a much more reasonable price than the big places on the water. The staff were very helpful and brought us a pile of fluffy towels every day. Housekeeping is available free if you want it - we just requested fresh towels each day. The location was great too, would definitely stay here again.

Spacious and clean room with very comfy beds. Great location, close to all the best sights. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Incredibly rude / jumped-up front-desk. Room was costing of £300 a night, wanted to leave bags for 24hrs as was then returning again for a second night stay (another night costing over £300 a night). Front desk (male) phones with a terrible manner (certainly no class or decorum) to state that bags could not be left for 24hrs. What was immensely irritating was the fact that there was room and it was possible (bags were left for 24hrs) but he did not start the call / discussion with that, instead choosing to start with a path that was always going to cause friction. Pathetic customer service and a person that should not be allowed to handle customers and degrade the hotel experience as a result.
