Very good first experience in Bari.

Very good stay of 2 nights. Staff is excellent. Room is impeccable. Initially, we regretted the view from our room onto another building, but ultimately, it was preferable to a room facing the street, which was very noisy. The restaurant manager, hearing that we would have liked to taste octopus, procured some to please us even though it was not on the menu. The hotel is ideally located between the old town on the left and the beaches on the right. Breakfast is excellent as well. Since it is nearly impossible to park in Bari, you can entrust your car to the hotel, which keeps it in a garage for 30 euros per night. Not cheap but essential. It's a shame there isn't an operational bar on the rooftop terrace.

Very central to everything, close to the train station, very walkable to the marina and old town and shopping it was a a very good choice

+ Great location! 2 blocks away from main street and 3 blocks away from old town, but quiet enough to have a good sleep (room was on the side of the busy street and could sleep very well!)
+ Breakfast was a big plus! It has eggs, cured meats, (tons of) cheese, fruits, (tons of varied) croissants, etc... small but highly efficient!
+ People were very nice and friendly
+ Parking in front of the property. A little difficult to find a spot on a Friday/Saturday night (given its closeness to the buzz), but good any other day (and free during the night until ~8 am)

Wonderfully cute hotel with great staff! It was the perfect location for us to submit paperwork for the Atto Notorio to get legally married in a multi step process. Thanks for the stay!

The JR Hotels Oriente Bari is a very nice property. It is located just a short walking distance from the historic center of Bari, The staff was attentive and the rooms were clean. The hotel has parking and if you are driving, you will give your car key to an attendant and he will park the car for you.)As we were driving, having a hotel with parking was a must - as finding a parking spot in Bari might take 45 minutes or more - if you are lucky. Please know there is a parking slot in front of the hotel to only unload your luggage and check in (however, this might be an issue to access if others are checking in at the same time). The parking cost is 25-30 Euros per day. The breakfast at the hotel was fine and generous. Regarding driving to hotel, please know that there might be some detours - so what seems to be an easy shot to the hotel, might take a bit longer (and your GPS won't help either). There are plenty of things to see and do in Bari. Do not miss taking the tour of the Opera House (Teatro Petracciello) right next to the hotel. There are tours several days a week at 10 am - both in English and Spanish. The archeological museum in Bari is also very worth visiting, as well as Bari Cathedral and the Basilica di San Nicola. You will need to spend a full day in the Bari Vecchio (old town) to visit most of the sites and enjoy wondering around the maze of streets and sopping at craft shops, as well as having a nice dinner in old town as well.
