Very nice hotel
Contrary to many reviews, we found the staff very pleasant and welcoming; even though the hotel has many rooms, we managed to find nice little corners away from it all to recharge, the small private beach on the lake is really a plus, and the view of the lake is just exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment.

Stunning Lake Views, but No Sleep Due to Nightclub Noise
The hotel is in a truly gorgeous location, right by the lake, and the setting is undoubtedly its greatest asset. The rooms are somewhat dated, but this is something one could live with given the beautiful surroundings.
Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by a nightclub across the lake. Guests in lake-facing rooms are subjected to extremely loud bass-heavy music late into the night. As I write this, it is 1:30 a.m., and this is the second consecutive night with little sleep thanks to the club.
This is not the hotel’s fault, but it has a very real impact on a guest’s stay. A holiday should be restorative, not something one needs to recover from afterward. For that reason, I cannot recommend this hotel while the nightclub is operating, especially to anyone who values peace, rest, or a good night’s sleep.

Fantastic stay! Stunning property and in an excellent location. Our room was the Mountain View and it was everything we needed. The hotel itself is great to explore and the pool/beach area was perfect for a dip. It is worth noting here that the lake pontoon sunbathing area is only for paying guests and the front sunbathing areas are reserved for the suite rooms. Other than that, there was plenty of space available and a dip in the lake is a must!
Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be visiting again at some point in the future!

I needed a peaceful break and even when the hotel was crowded, I could enjoy the calm. A very nice room with a terrasse on lake view. Everything was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno. the location was exellent-just a short walk to the ferry terminal, making it easy to explore the Borromean Islands and the surrounding towns. We even a dinner in Switzerland, which was lovely and only a 45 min drive. The restaurant at the hotel was also worth checking out for dinner.
One of our favorite features was the beautiful pool. It was such a great treat after a morning of sightseeing.
Our room was clean, comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The housekeeping staff was very attentive and accommodating throughout our stay.
The breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection of items and the staff was great!
We would gladly stay there again.
