Among the best in Bologna

Clean, tidy and equipped with everything, including earplugs and dental floss. Located 10/12 minutes walk from Piazza Maggiore, the room is the top, warm, quiet with coffee maker and teapot. Go without hesitation.

Definitely not as expected

The location was great, as was the fixtures & fittings, the experience was satisfactory . I read the reviews and researched well before booking, reviews were varied but why not .
The check-in procedure is strange, however go with the flow.
We arrived early and could leave our luggage there while we explore, that was good.. We were met by a nice lady who may have been the cleaner.
She was the first & last staff we saw in a 3 day/night stay.
The lady advised when we returned to check-in our key would be in a box with all the entrance door keys, to just collect it.
That was fine, but there were several keys in several boxes, these didn't have any name or any identification on them. So we went through them and identified my C/C number end digits, yes that’s our room.
During our 3 night stay our room wasn’t serviced at all, towels weren’t changed and didn’t dry, no cleaning nothing. There were large cheaply printed wall posters around.
On Saturday morning we left early for a tour, we had issues getting out of main building as the automatic door wouldn't open. We managed to prior it open eventually rather stressed. .
We travel a lot and found the accommodation, that wasn’t budget disappointing and bizarre and we have stayed in self check-in hotels previously.
We had a great time in Bologna & district, found the citizens very welcoming

The main disappointment leading to our lesser enjoyment of this booking was the fact that breakfast was not ultimately included, despite being advertised as such and included in the booking price. Instead we were told to grab a croissant and coffee across the street. In addition, consider better signage for travellers to find the hotel more easily. We had to guess at where exactly we needed to go and that is a hassle.

The staff was was very unflexible and not service oriented at all. Due to the general strike we arrived six hours later at the b&b than planned, which they punished with a hefty late check in fee.

Ok only for overnight stay

Structure in the norm, clean. Being on a road of strong passage, and being on the 7th floor, at night it is quite noisy.
Toilet flushing problems reported but, alas, not solved.
The price had to include breakfast that is offered in a bar under the building, bad!!! A croissant and a cappuccino (...) and stop. Not even a glass of water that was charged 0.70 cents!
Positive note in the mini bar is offered water.
In conclusion it is not worth the price that is asked. Council better to do only the overnight stay.
