The force of nature on the Alpe di Siusi

Magnificent hotel on the Sciliar plateau, comfortable environments with attention to every detail, rooms in natural Alpine wood and marble and stone from the Dolomites. Spa, garden, and pool for dreamlike relaxation, refined menus but always in harmony with the tradition and nature of the mountains, which offers the best to those who know how to appreciate and look at the wonder of the Alpe di Siusi and take it home until the next trip ❤️

Services not in line with expectations

Our stay unfortunately did not live up to expectations, especially because some of the services advertised on the hotel's website turned out to be non-existent.
The website indicates that high chairs and a rocking chair are available for small children, so as to avoid using the stroller in the dining room. At the time of booking we had clearly communicated that we would be traveling with a baby of only 3 months, but upon our arrival we were not provided with any solution to be able to manage him safely during meals. Furthermore, we were not allowed to bring the stroller into the dining room. Consequently, we were forced to hold the baby in our arms for all breakfasts and all dinners, with obvious discomfort.
We believe it is unfair to promote services dedicated to families that, in fact, are not made available to guests.
Another disappointing aspect was the quality of the cuisine, which we found to be lower than expected.
The positive points of the stay were the cleanliness of the rooms and the excellent location of the hotel.
We hope that this review can be useful both to the establishment, so that it aligns the services actually offered with what is advertised, and to other families traveling with very small children.

How to manage to erase the weariness of modern life

If we have been going to the Urthaler for more than twenty years, the reason is simple: starting with Mrs. Barbara and all the staff, there is a constant and absolute pursuit of improvement and growth... Kindness, professionalism, and a top-notch structure beautifully integrated into the context (unlike others); if we add this corner of paradise that is the Alpe di Siusi... superb

The perfect location

We went for a ski holiday. The hotel is very well located in the center of the village of Compatch. It is only 150 meters from the skipiste. It is a beautiful hotel, with very nice rooms and a great pool (indoor/outdoor) and wellness section. Also the food is excellent.
