A pleasant surprise

From the reviews I had really got off to a bad start, with the idea of staying at the Cibene hotel.
Instead, Honestly, I felt good about it. My wife and I were really pampered during our stay.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good and sufficient, both for sweet and savory.
Kindness and courtesy of the staff was already advertised by the other reviews and, indeed, was positive for us too.
There is an internal parking, but beware that it is paid.
Absolutely positive opinion.

It would take little...

It is a real shame... to have the opportunity to have such a structure and disregard its condition. To preface, the staff is kind, there are loose wires in the room, the fridge door is not commented on, and the furniture is coming apart... it is not at all a 4-star experience... you can't find a pen in the room, and there are only two bottles of water upon arrival... no glasses!!!??? Why???? It would take little to be effective.

A hostel masquerading as a four star

An absolutely bogus four stars, do not believe it!!!! Very bad area, close to public housing (which also overlooked my room). you can not walk to downtown, unlike how they write on other reviews (bogus even those). Dirty, decadent hotel, furniture falling apart, bathroom smelled like sewer. In short, all bad, thank goodness we were only one night. we are running away with legs up, bad experience!!!! avoided.

TO AVOID!!!!!!

Bad structure.
I don't have any worse terms to use.
Dirty room, a smell of smoke that you could not breathe.
I slept dressed for the fear of some infection in leaning.
On the pillow I put a towel.
I've never seen such filth and smell.
The distance to the airport was not 3 km .... but 7.5km.
A shit I've never seen.
I couldn't breathe the smell.
The oxen bath, black and old socket.
I have no worse review.
Old room ,
To be avoided absolutely.

Villa Cibele, Catania - False Advertising Alert

Villa Cibele’s website claims to be a "four star resort" with "tastefully and elegantly furnished rooms, all extremely comfortable, spacious, and bright." In reality, it's a worn two-star motel at best.
The Good:Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Secure location as described (though isolated with few nearby services).
The Reality Check: Our triple room had a non-functional kitchenette sink with broken cover, large holes in bathroom wall tiles creating unsanitary conditions, and a shower enclosure so degraded it cannot be properly cleaned. These aren't minor issues - they're health and safety concerns that make the "elegant" and "comfortable" claims insulting.
Bottom Line: The disconnect between their marketing and actual conditions crosses into deceptive advertising. Book elsewhere unless you're prepared for substandard accommodations that bear no resemblance to the four-star experience they're selling. The excellent staff deserve better than this deteriorating property.
