Amazing stay
I had an amazing stay, the location is perfect and the staff very polite. For sure I’m gonna visit it again.

Best service and location
Location is best and warm welcome. Highlight point in convo Como is the staff. They are very attentive and kind. All the information are in detail and rooms were simple and affordable for us. Definitely will back .

How things are done in Como
Location is really good for going to the pier. Other than that, what a disappointment. This is one of the most expensive hotels I have ever stayed at. I am used to $6 hostels so I figured there would be a really amazing service and rooms. Shower has mold, bathroom's sink doesn't work, shelves in the room are ajar, and other random things in our room were already broken. I would've rather stayed in a $6 hostel than here because I know it would've been cleaner and better put together. Then there is nobody there for check-in after 6 pm. This isn't necessary a bad thing, it's just that we never got any check-in instructions. We got it figured out easily enough, but when we were checking out my girlfriend just gave them a suggestion of putting their Whatsapp number on the door for this exact situation. I was expecting them to go "Thank you for your suggestion. We will pass it along. Thank you for your stay." Instead it was brought to blaming her and me. It was our fault that we never got instructions. Then it was not intelligent of us to not reach out to the hotel before coming. This went on for far too long because my girlfriends English isn't very good and I think she was getting confused by the staff member blaming her for something that I didn't think was a problem. It wasn't something I was going to even mention because I think it is ok for a place to have self check-in after 6. The issue is how they communicated with her. In a polite tone to her face calling her an idiot and not ready to travel. Who do you think made the plans? So all those words were coming back to me for not doing things that no other hotel has expected of me. Then we went in to a place with mold and a sink that doesn't work. I will add a note that we did not request a room change as we were spending very little time in the room and I didn't think it was worth the hassle of trying to get a room change done. I found everything to do with Lake Como to be overpriced, subpar, and a genuine tourist trap. I think the hotel fit it exactly with everything else at Lake Como. I do remember the staff member saying one thing that perfectly fits in with how I thought of everything, "It's Lake Como. It is how we do things here."

Loved our stay at the Convo Lake Como. Everything was great. Location couldn’t be better. Directions to find and enter the room were well stated in advance. The location is one street away from numerous cafes and the lakeside so you’re right there but away from the noise. The room size was a bit cramped for our party of three but that was to be expected in an old town and the size of the buildings there. The room was equipped with everything we needed: great A/C, comfortable beds, shower with good water pressure, and tv and hair dryer. The staff were amazing. Anna responded immediately to any question even late at night (sorry Anna!) and graciously accommodated our luggage issues. If/when we come back, the Convo is at the top of our list.

Quirky and thoughtful
Perfect location. Cute, quirky rooms. Friendly and considerate staff. This is maybe halfway between a hotel and a hostel, which was spot on for us. Staff were always contactable over text, and the rooms were stocked with thoughtful things like socket adaptors and slippers.
