Exciting!
It was my first time at this fantastic, recently renovated Wellness Hotel and I was enthusiastic about it. The name truly evokes a “sunny path” and perfectly reflects its panoramic location on a plateau in the Puster Valley, with a spectacular view of the Dolomites and Plan de Corones. The project—born from the transformation of the former Hotel Sonnenhof and part of the Winklerhotels group—focuses on a modern and conscious lifestyle. It is the perfect blend of contemporary Alpine design, holistic wellness, healthy cuisine, and maximum freedom of pace, with the excellent convenience of breakfast served until 11:30 a.m.
The hotel offers a true natural luxury experience. The common areas are generous, airy, and bright, characterized by designer furniture with clean and organic lines, where natural materials like warm wood, stone, and soft fabrics blend with shades of beige and sand. Among the property's highlights are the elliptical Signature Bar, the Skydeck, the immense 5,000-square-meter garden with lounge areas, and the evocative themed relaxation areas like Horizon, Spa Dream, and Meditation.
We had booked a Junior Suite Kofl and had the very pleasant gift of an upgrade to a Family Suite Plan de Corones. Located in the pre-existing structure with a fantastic southern exposure and a view of the Kronplatz, the suite is spacious, equipped with wooden floors, air conditioning, and a separate room for children, in addition to a beautiful panoramic balcony.
The multi-level wellness area is simply spectacular and offers everything: an adults-only Skypool (25m) on the roof, a heated outdoor infinity pool, a natural swimming pond, an onsen tub, a steam bath, a snow room, and various saunas (Finnish, herbal, and clay). For those who love to stay in shape, there is a fitness area and a yoga room with an outdoor platform directly on the pond, in addition to a rich program of holistic treatments and rituals.
The dining is also of the highest level thanks to “sensual healthy” cuisine that combines Alpine tradition with Mediterranean lightness. The dishes highlight local ingredients from the property's garden, the family-owned farm, and local breeders, always offering varied options, including vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free menus, accompanied by an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails at the bar.
Very useful services such as the electric vehicle charging station, e-bike rentals, and the shuttle complete the offer, making it the perfect hideaway for both summer activities like hiking and biking, and winter ones like skiing and snowshoeing. A special round of applause goes to all the staff, both at the reception and in the dining room: always kind, helpful, and impeccably professional. The price is absolutely appropriate for the quality and richness of the services offered. We will definitely return as soon as possible!

A true gem in the Dolomites, we will be back!
The most wonderful stay from start to finish.
The rooms in the new building as absolutely wonderful. We booked a Suite Sol and we adored it, south facing, big, comfortable. All perfect.
The spa is the best hotel spa I have ever seen in a hotel. We are very used to going to Aufguss sessions at home but these were outstanding. All of them different, the sauna masters were simply amazing. Highly recommend it. The only negative side is the noise from the road from the outdoor area, but really, you zone out eventually and enjoy it fully.
The food, was truly the highlight of this place. Every menu each night was wonderful curated, different every night, and of excellent quality. Just don't over indulge on the salad buffet, because what comes next is too good to not finish.
A special thanks to Noah, a wonderful 20 year old who gave us so much great insight to the region, he has the experience of a 50 year old! Excellent waiter.
Then another thanks to Giuseppe, another great waiter who always looked after us, knowing our preferences and always being very kind to our dogs.
Same with Riccardo, knows the industry very well, extremely kind and knowledgeable. He also was extremely nice to our dogs over the week.
Here you also pay to have a dog in the room, but trust me, it is worth it. They provide a bed, a water bowl and some food also upon arrival, so they are especially taken care of and are allowed everywhere except the spa & wellness area (which makes sense)
The only negative point (and it is minor!) was that during our whole week stay we didn't have a refill of our Nespresso capsules. When I asked the cleaning lady, she advised there was an issue with the order. We then proceeded to buying our own capsules at the local shop as we didn't get any new ones over the whole week. The hotel could have in our opinion done the same as an intermediary solution until their order arrived. But again, minor detail but as a person who loves their morning coffee on the terrace, this was a little annoying.
All in all we had such a nice stay, and we will most definitely be back!

Good but needs improvement for a 5-star hotel.
Overall good but not excellent.
Well-maintained outdoor spaces, rooms in the old part of the complex are old and poorly maintained. It is not specified at the time of booking and the photos do not do justice to what you actually find.
Suffice it to say that we could not stay in that room…….the old part is not up to standard!
And this is a problem for a 5-star!
Some missing services like a hair diffuser, water in the room at all times, 4 coffees (only 1 decaf for 2 people) and no kettle! These are musts! They cannot NOT BE THERE!
Slippers go in the room with the bathrobes and should not have to be requested at the reception.
Dining area without guidance!
The evening service had to be a matter of luck!
In the gardens (very well-kept) no manager was in charge of the umbrellas, but it was a "do-it-yourself" situation; towels were there when they were, otherwise you had to go look for them at the spa.
Here too, a lack of a manager!
Every now and then they would have us sign for the drinks.
(At check-out they usually present the signed receipts)
In short, many things to review for a true 5-star!
Then personally, the deputy manager Omar was very kind, trying to make up for it, but given the potential of the property, I recommend more care to truly be able to qualify as a 5-star.

South Tyrolean hospitality at the highest level
For many years we were at the Hotel Sonnenhof and always felt very comfortable. This year we were now at the Hotel Solvie after the renovation. It was simply dreamlike, the newly designed great outdoor facilities, the sky pool, and of course the newly designed rooms. What has remained the same is the warmth of the staff, which makes the stay so pleasant. I think we have never had such a great and relaxing vacation.
