Superhost!

We cycle from Amsterdam to Rome and had a super experience in Florence thanks to the host Matteo who apped us the best lunch, ice cream, and dinner tips wherever we were. Also advice for museums to shorten the queues. Secure storage in loft in the back of the garden and gates locked.

A really nice stay

Everything about our stay at this place was great. Spacious, clean and quiet room and a helpful owner/manager. The parking was a big plus too, as in the two days we were there, we walked (30 min) to the city centre, which is not car friendly anyway. Breakfast wasn’t included in our booking, but for one of the days we paid 10 Euros per person and had it. It is indeed a social event as the others wrote, but the breakfast itself wasn’t anything special. Would definitely stay here again, if in Florence.

Thanks for your feedback and review. Our breakfast is a little buffet of sweet and salty food as we are allowed from local laws as a B&B.

They threw away my personal belongings and overall not at all what we expected,

I wish I could rate this higher, but this is my honest thoughts as a young adult traveling with my sister. First of all, the staff threw away my 20$ razor while they were cleaning the room, and when I confronted them about it they said it was “dangerous”. This was a violation and illegal to do in a hotel. Additionally, the room and garden look nothing like the pictures. I went outside thinking it would be a nice peaceful garden to make a phone call in, but it was completely worn down and not taken care of. Breakfast was sufficient, but definitely not high quality. I rated this 2 stars instead of 1 because our bed was comfortable, and one of the staff members named David was kind, but unfortunately it was his last week working there.

Dear Guest,
lets make things easy and clear.
7 days of stay, never a single negative word. On your last day you ask about a "lady razor" and we informed you that we found on the ground of the shower broken in 3 pieces and with the blades out of the plastic part. We how how a razor is made and that was broken not just "split". Definition of dangerous means that the blade is on its own out of it. The worker has to use additional care in order not to be cut from it.
Illegal? Maybe in your mind.
Garden? Do you realize we are in a city, it is spring and there are rules for cutting (and insect in need of shelter) so a 10cm grass is perfectly acceptable? anyhow is the grass noisy or disturbing your telephone call?
Moreover on your departure you restrained the keys with you. When we discovered you are already in the city center and asked us to "go in the city and pick it up in a bar" where you were having a coffe. This is something that cannot be done. As you keep the keys and it is your responsability to handle them back it. We suggested you 3 different way to return them and you always pretend that we come to you without any respect for workers and other arriving customers.
You keep the keys (and say you are not, while you perfectly know you have them) you return the keys.

Matteo is awesome! His background as a concierge led is to experiences we wouldn't have otherwise known about and the restaurants he recommended were excellent.
