Hotel with a superb view!

We spent four nights at this hotel during our stay in Lake Como.
Hotel on the heights of the lake with a superb view from our room of the mountains with snow-capped peaks this spring and of part of the lake.
Warm welcome, friendly staff.
Single room with small balcony, basic but sufficient equipment, good bedding but the soundproofing is poor, you can hear the slightest sound coming from the rooms and common areas.
The hotel also has a restaurant-pizzeria, we ate there one evening, a good dinner overall.
An excellent address for a stopover or a stay in the northwest of the lake, even if the small, narrow and very winding road to access it from the shores of the lake may seem a little restrictive.

Simplicity at its Best

Big Albergo with great views above a bar/restaurant by the same name.
Amazingly helpful and friendly staff with the usual welcoming Italian nature.
Clean but outdated furniture and decor which seems to change from a room to another so it may just be that my room's theme wasn't to my taste, although the view of the lake from window was great.
Good night sleep followed by a friendly chat at check out with the receptionist who seemed genuinely interested in my safety on my hike across the Alps, how nice of him. Even offered me a coffee on the house but I had a mountain climb!
Mini market in town to restock your supplies, 5 minute walk.

Simple, clean, good value hotel

Hotel is located 10-15 from the lake up a very steep, winding and narrow road. Ask for a lakeside view room. The view is phenomenal over the mountain and lake below. The room decor should be updated and the mattresses a bit uncomfortable, but the bathroom looked recently renovated and was very clean. Everything was simple, but clean and worth the value. Didn't have breakfast or dinner there, but it seemed to be a popular pizzeria, judging from the amount of guests enjoying the large dining room the evening we checked in. Breakfast was an extra 5 Euros p/p, although we didn't choose to have it. Perfect place to crash for a one night budget stay in a unique location with a great view.

Mérite absolument le détour pour l accueil et pour la table et le séjour aussi

C est la deuxième fois que je viens avec plaisir anticipé depuis la France avec des amis randonneurs.
Cet hôtel est situé dans un petit village surplombant le lac de Côme, en dehors de la foule
Je voyage souvent dans de nombreux hôtels de toute catégorie ; c'est les hôteliers les plus attentifs et les plus agréables que j aie rencontrés
Les chambres sont simples , d une propriété parfaite.
Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié et d un niveau supérieur à cette catégorie d hôtel.
Au repas du soir de notre demi pension entrée et plat principal au choix , avec en général viande ou poisson, à noter aussi d excellentes pizza d une très grande variété faites au four sur place.
C'est un vrai bonheur de séjourner à l Albergo de Jean

Tolle Pizza

Die besten Pizze, die wir je gegessen haben gibt es hier. Vom Hotel aus ein toller Blick über Dongo auf den Comer See bis zur Abtei Piona. Montags ist Menuetag. Pro Menue € 17.- mit Aperetif, 1/4 Wein, 1/4 Wasser, Nachtisch und Espresso. Wir kommen wieder.
