I recommend it
A slightly dated hotel near the small square; we stayed in the annexes, which have dated decor but a very nice veranda. The cost is slightly excessive for one night and for the services offered. Breakfast was included and well-stocked; the spa and all other services were for an additional fee. The shuttle service is convenient, available only upon arrival and departure.
The spa costs $20 per person, but it is not worth it.
The bunk bed in the annex is dangerous for two children because it has no guardrails.

Discreet hotel, exceptional view
Hotel located in the central square of the island. Our room was located in the annex, declared of simple furniture. Improvements such as better lighting and more attention to detail would be appropriate. Modest breakfast in quality and quantity (if you arrive late the eggs were always finished and hardly replaced them). we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, discreet, high prices but in line with those of the island. The view from the terrace remains exceptional.

At the heart of S.Domino
Hotel located in the central square of S.Domino.
It consists of a central body with finely renovated rooms and annexes about 50 meters from the hall, with a large veranda from which you can enjoy an excellent view of both the sea and the front island of S. Nicholas illuminated like a nativity scene in the evening.
On the veranda there are tables in the restaurant where you can eat both for lunch and dinner and where you can have very relaxing breakfasts.
Great Service of the waiters who are very kind and professional.
Although the dishes are not very plentiful they are of excellent quality.
Hearty breakfast buffet with a wide choice of sweet and savoury.
Also prepared for people with celiac disease who can eat in complete tranquility.
Unfortunately only in the annexes accept pets and the same are small, furnished in a very vintage way and the cleaning of the same rooms not very accurate.
Cleaning Service not satisfactory.
It can happen to find in the rooms unwelcome insects but after all we are on an island rich in vegetation.
The owners are very professional but unfortunately the kindness and smiles are not very plentiful.
The shuttle Service for transfer to and from the port very useful and functional but forget about getting a greeting or a smile from the driver.

Not Italian ? No service.
We booked a couple of nights for a scuba diving trip. A quiet room is always a plus but that's too much to ask at Gabbiano. When I mentioned this at reception they said that room 103 is above the restaurant and under another room. They told us to deal with it. Felt like someone was moving furniture from 07 AM to midnight. Nothing could be done about it. They advertise quiet rooms. Not quiet, at all.
The hotel management do not speak any other language than Italian. Some of the staff speak a little English. The nicest people working at Gabbiano are the lady from housekeeping and the breakfast lady, she speaks perfect Spanish. The other people act like they are here against their will. The breakfast is lousy. It is complementary so I guess they want to save on quality. The omelette tray remains empty until you ask to fill it. The management will then ask you how many eggs you want even if the restaurant is full. As if the other guests wouldn't want some eggs in the morning. When we arrived from the ferry from Vieste around noon we were told a car would be waiting for us. Noone was there, called the hotel. They then sent a car. Had mailed the arrival time a day ahead. They responded, still never bothered to send a car.
Tried to have lunch after we got here. They gave us a table, never told us lunch started an hour later. . Just left us hanging. Had to ask what the serving times were using my phone.The food is overpriced, the lady serving us couldn't care less. Never even got bread, olive oil, nothing. Until I asked why and then they gave us some.
Today I aked for a bill and management had to call staff because they couldn't understand. Before paying I asked if I could get a receipt with my VAT number on it and it was no problem. After paying they made another scene. Ended up writing down my VAT on a receipt because all of a sudden it was not possible anymore. Felt like spending five days at Fawlty Towers. Would not recommend, at all ...
