Holidays in Livigno
Very nice, well-kept place, in typical, very clean style. The host is welcoming and helpful. Close to the center, with which you can go with a free bus. Immersed in nature, quiet and close to there are grocery stores, pizzerias and restaurants

chalet la gualt...livigno.
I took my fiancee to Livigno on the 8th March 2017 for one weeks skiing, she had never skied before so she was really looking forward to the whole experience. I have been skiing for years and been to Livigno four times before so this year we decided to go self catering at the Chalet La Gualt appartments.
The appartment complex is clean,modern and fit for purpose however we we given appartment number 5 which is a loft room in the roof with very low rafters...when we were walking around the appartment it wasnt difficult to bang your head on the rafters and you found yoursef confined to two chanels in the apartment with full head height!!
I complained straight away about the appartment ant two days later the Neilson rep was able to give us the keys to appartment number 4 which was exactly what were expecting..after that the holiday was fantastic, great skiing, sunny weather and a duty free resort.
I cant fault Jack the Neilson rep for finding us an alternative room but if you do book an appartment at this chalet ask your tour operator which room you will be staying in..if they cant confirm the room number then state that you do not want appartment number 5!
If you are looking for a resort with everythingyou wont go far wrong in Livigno.

ski trip late march 2017
stayed in one of two apartments near bus stop 'ski area 11', it was well fitted out and they provided wash up fluid, towels and coffee filters. did not like the basement flat view though, and Neilson booked us into ski school at '2-18' a good 10 mins walk with skis or take bus half way. shop 5 min walk, duty free shops further [but a supermarket was cheaper for spirits!!!]
Snow was ok though not the '24 cm at base' as suggested by some websites, more like 4cm in places.!!, [spring snow-freeze thaw] but I don't think much will be left by Easter. the dog sleigh trip involved running beside the sled for 40% of journey due to no snow on parts. ignore the web site '' snowing'-they'd had none for two weeks prior to our arrival and we had wall to wall sun!
we ate out in café just below 2-18-v nice, good prices, and in a steak and amusement pub a few bus stops nearer duty free area-also good.
may do Italy again-they are more relaxed than French [ski school start at 10am] but maybe go for place with more snow, though some say this year was bad-again
we flew into Innsbruck airport with T Cook, very good, 2-3 hour transfer.
note-had to alter name of ski school area as trip advisor wrongly accused me of using profanity- name for 2 in Spanish- and would not send review!!!!!

fantastic week skiing in livigno
I've just returned with my family from a fabulous week. The appartment was clean, modern, with comfortable beds and ample space for us all. The resort is wonderful and local buses easy to use and get around the town just remember to check all bus times and the route. The local shop stocks all essentials and are very helpful and friendly. The restaurants in the San Rocco Area especially Marcos Pub
are plentiful with good choice and price. The galli fedele ski school at lift 18 in the San Rocco Area is excellent, the instructors are knowledgeable and speak very good English which helps!
Would definitely stay here again, ticked all our boxes!

Great stay
We have been returning to livigno most years and love the place.
based at the far end of the village with beautiful views, bus stop outside and small market across the road. Everything you could need.
