Stay in Marta

Great 3-star hotel on the shores of Lake Bolsena. Great room of exemplary cleanliness, a gargantuan breakfast and a staff on the page. Dinner served in front of the lake (20 meters) on the lawn and very attractive cuisine at an Award defying competition. Experience to do again!!!

In transit in Tuscia

In transit in Tuscia, we stayed in Marta at the hotel da Otello and we can say that the choice could not be better: leaving aside the beauty of Marta and other places in Bolsena that we already knew, from Otello it proved to be a really pleasant choice, starting from the courtesy of the owners, to the comfort of the room with.view of the lake, ending with the cuisine absolutely to try, fish from the lake and also from the sea that we did not expect dishes and plentiful, really remarkable.
Another note worthy of mention, the professionalism of the waiting staff and the truly welcoming environment.

Run away! (Unless you want to be sick)

This alleged restaurant is simply to be banned. We ordered a pasta dish with meat stew (lombrichelli alla viterbese con ragù di salsiccia) and a seafood risotto.
1o The pasta dish was inedible: the sauce tasted industrial and the meat like plastic. Probably leftovers or cartilage.
2o The risotto was served with some tasteless seafood certainly frozen. He was bathed in a huge puddle of poor quality oil.
One of us held back from throwing up on the way out. This establishment benefits from the rent provided by its location on the lake and therefore makes no effort on quality. We do not recommend it to anyone. Nor Marta which is much less charming than the other villages around Lake Bolsena.

romantic evening with breeze

Hotel with restaurant by the lake.
The placement is really ideal.
the well-kept lake view room.
In the evening we had dinner on the lawn in front of the restaurant, a short distance from the lake.
really wonderful climate with 25 degrees and a light breeze.
In the rest of the country, temperatures everywhere exceeded 30 degrees.
tasting menu based on perch really remarkable.
I wanted to try the whitefish but they told me that the fishing had been very scarce and it was over.
Good thing, it means they only cook the lake's catch.

Family run hotel in idyllic setting

We were a family group of 10 , in Italy for a family wedding. The hotel staff were very welcoming, even providing a delicious meal on our late arrival. The Hotel is old fashioned but spotlessly clean. Air conditioned bedrooms were welcome in temperatures over 35degrees. The restaurant has great sea food dishes. Breakfast is a varied buffet . The staff are friendly and helpful even printing our boarding cards on departure. Eating breakfast with a stunning view of the lake was a highlight. One note although shampoo and shower caps are provided the soap is not good for showering I would recommend bringing shower gel
