Very nice stay in Milan

Highly not recommended! Photos and description of the apartments are misleading! Hidden extra fees!
- Host is forcing you to pay additional fee, for us this extra cost was 30% of our reservation price. This extra charges were not listed on booking.com when we made our reservation.
- Photos are misleading and not reflecting the reality of the apartments.
- Rooms are cheap and cold, there was no way to use heating. It was uncomfortably cold to live there ( April 2019 ).
- Trying to buy your positive review. The host offered us a 10$ amazon gift card if we will leave 10 point review on booking.com.
We have chosen this apartments because of it's good price(A) nice rating(B) and awesome looking photos(C) however, unfortunately the actual apartments do not conform to the advertised quality:
A ) Price is misleading, there are hidden costs that you will discover on arrival to the apartments. When we arrived we forced to pay extra 30+ eur for our single night stay. The host said it is cleaning payment and some other taxes. He had no explanation why this amount was not officially listed on booking.com. And he forced us to pay in CASH, didn't want to accepts any other forms of payment. Also he rejected to give us an invoice for the paid 'services', I guess he just put money to his pocket. The host treating you like an ATM machine and has no idea about hospitality, don't care about your satisfaction.
B) The rating of 'Fiera Milano Apartments Cenisio' is not real. They tried to buy our good review. First they forced us to unexpected extra fee and then they said you can get 10 EUR back only if you will leave 10 point review on booking.com. I feel really sorry for people who actually agreed to do this thing. By doing so you are supporting this sneaky landlord and helping him to confuse other tourists. Please don't do it.
C) Photos of the apartments are not reflecting reality at all. The photos look like they were taken in completely another place.

We booked a breakfast as well , which was so funny again. The restaurant or the coffee shop where served the “breakfast” was so far - we walked more then 700 km to go there for 1 coffee , a half glass of juice and one croissant . We paid for it extra £10 . One coffe there is 1 Euro.
I felt so disappointed. They are a layers , tiefs . You book a room for £50 and at the end you must pay £25 more ( half of the room ) for cleaning after your confirmation and the money are token from your card !!!!! You can’t see that anywhere on the word .

So much noise
The place itself is furnished very nicely, but unfortunately the nice owner's laid back personality shows in the poor upkeep of the place. Kettle handle broken, no dishcloths, toilet seat broken, washbasin clogged, fittings falling off, dodgy aircon. Such a shame that he is not looking after such nice apartments.

Cheap, decent place to stay
1) I believe we stayed in room 350 and, as a previous review states, the neighbours were very noisy. Luckily, it didn't bother us too much but if you're looking for a quiet stay then this is probably not the place for you.
2) When we arrived, the plug had got stuck in the sink but this was fixed immediately for us which we appreciated. The toilet had a very strange flush (a handle) that leaked throughout our stay. The shower door was broken, literally hanging off, and the whole set up was terrible for keeping water actually within the shower. We had many floods after using it which left our bathroom and even the hallway occasionally soaking.
3) The wifi was absolutely terrible and, even though we were told we had good TV access, we did not. Obviously if you're not spending much time there this won't matter but as poor students, we stayed in most evenings and this was irritating for us.
4) The kitchen is really poorly equipped. Again, as we were poor students, we chose to eat in some evenings. This proved quite a challenge when there were very little utensils to actually do this.
Overall, I would say that this place was a good, cheap place to stay in Milan for those who are on a tight budget. I hope that the owner takes on board my comments and makes some improvements; it could be an absolutely perfect place to stay!
