Avoid it!!!

On paper, this would seem like an excellent low-cost bnb, but it presents some “traps”.
First of all, the location. Do not go there if you are a woman traveling alone. The managers are decent people, but the B&B is not located in a safe area, and the entrance door does not even close properly, often being left open. There are cameras at the main entrance, but it would be better to repair the entrance door and equip the doors with locks other than the simple latch key typical of apartments. I assume that every key can open all the others, but I never wanted to find out.
When we stayed there, some other tourists, foreigners, were completely drunk and harassing, and no one intervened. They invaded the kitchen, preventing others from using it, used other people's things, and made noise until late at night. The rooms are not soundproofed at all, and you could hear EVERYTHING. Arguments, sexual acts, open doors, burping, TV, the sound of the elevator. Everything. Terrible.
They do provide kitchen utensils, but I dare not imagine how they are washed. There is never hot water in the kitchen, and the sponge should be replaced. How can they charge for kitchen use without hot water? Is it separate? They write that there is a free shuttle service, but in reality, everything costs money. If people smoke on the terrace, you will have the smell of smoke in your room. To get to the kitchen, some rooms practically have to cross the terrace; there is a roof, but in winter, you have to put on a coat.

Negative

The room is above a terrace. So the window is on the terrace where everyone passes, without blackout curtains, you can't sleep with the light from the terrace and thinking that someone spends the night spying on you or when you leave the bathroom. Place out of the way, uncomfortable for those who have suitcases staircase to get to the elevator and various steps to go to the room always from the terrace.

Terrace with view

I have been there a couple of times, very welcoming owner and very nice and spacious rooms.
The property is located on the top floor of a building with a mega terrace that offers a wide view of the historic area of Palermo.
It is surrounded by many shops such as supermarkets bakeries bars shops for shopping of all kinds and in a few steps you arrive in the historic center of Palermo

Overall this was a good budget friendly option. For the price it was cery clean and the staff wre very friendly. I would clarify that the breakfast was only on the first day and only a bag of cookies and a smashed muffin. And while it is close to some areas of interest, i would make sure to get a few bus tickets if you want to venture further than the Norman palace or Palermo Cathedral.
