What an excellent hotel. We arrived after a 4 hour drive in France, and a flight delay. Exhausted. But a friendly, caring lady at the reception made such a difference. She was perfect in every way - efficient, reaching out, informative and more. Made is feel comfortable in every way. The other hotel staff - concierge, room service, housekeeping - all above par! Recommended for all travelers.

Not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel

I would suggest calling it Hotel Wagner and removing the 'Grand' in front.
The hotel needs a refresh. Carpet everywhere, including in the rooms. Our room faced directly onto the main road, and unfortunately, we could not sleep due to the external noise (scooters speeding by and cars honking).
There are improvements to be made in the bathroom.
We could have moved to an internal room, but we read in other reviews that they are small and dark.
The positive side is the breakfast, which is worthy of being called that. A special mention also goes to the lady who served us.
This hotel has tremendous potential; it is up to you to improve it.

Grazie per la Sua recensione sulla nostra struttura e per i complimenti sulla nostra colazione. Dispiace leggere che il soggiorno non vi abbia soddisfatto in pieno e che il rumore della strada abbia disturbato il vostro sonno, anche se tutte le nostre camere hanno i vetri insonorizzati. Prenderemo spunto delle vostre osservazioni, abbiamo infatti già programmato degli interventi per migliorare i nostri servizi.
Speriamo tuttavia di potervi ospitare presto nuovamente qui a Palermo.

Every thing was good until significant amount of money went missing from our safety deposit box. We locked ourselves out of the box twice in the same day which meant the hotel staff had to come and open it for us. The 2nd time the person pulled it open and saw we had money in there. Then in the next couple days when I counted we were missing money. I talked to the hotel manager and she said perhaps we dropped the money but we did not take that money out so that is not possible. Also she said if they open the safe, it clears the code but I researched that specific model and found out, they could open and close the box but keep the last code. At this point it did not see with my own eyes that they took the money but I am missing it. I would not stay there again or would not leave money in the safe.

Great location and Grand lobby but the perks ended there.

The hotel is very grand and the lobby is quite beautiful as mentioned. The location is perfect and outside the ZTL so easy to drive to, if needed. But this is not a 4 star level property. Our room looked beautiful on first glance but not so much on further inspection as there was a fair amount of damage like ripped carpet and a broken vanity. The shower was disappointing for a hotel a this level and the shower head sprayed in all directions. Our room was so noisy we were up all night even with wearing ear plugs. I was shocked by the level of noise which didn't slow down until about 330 am. I would request a quiet room if booking here, if possible. We also thought the bedding and pillow comfort here was the worst out of the 4 hotels in Sicily we stayed at. They felt old and flat. We checked our bags since we checked in early which is no big deal but when returning, we were surprised our things weren't already brought to our room and then waited almost an hour to get our bags, making us late to our food tour. There appeared to be only one bellman for a hotel of this size. I also found the front desk being enclosed in glass a bit strange.
