Must stay here

A must stay . The rooms and staff are above what we have found anywhere else in Italy at this star rating. There are numerous little extras that give this family run business the WOW. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Good address on the Verbano

We stayed several nights at the Belvedere Hotel in Ranco, very well located hotel, with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff at this hotel is very friendly, speaking various languages. The restaurant is recommended, very neat kitchen, we feasted. We will return with great pleasure. Christian LAVAL

A hidden gem

We stayed at the Belvedere for just one night following a cycling holiday along the Italian Lakes and it is truly a hidden gem. Our room was fantastic, the staff were friendly and dinner was exquisite. Truly a hidden gem. Hopefully we will return again in the future.

Experience ruined by a gesture of arrogance

We spent one night in this hotel, it was a gift from my wife for my birthday. Dinner in particular was a very nice time, the atmosphere of the terrace was suggestive and the dishes were all to our liking. We stayed in room no. 2, which I found very nice and well equipped, and characterized by large spaces both inside and outside (with panoramic views). I couldn't figure out if there was a way to darken the room, I couldn't find blinds or anything, and the marquees weren't blackout, so at dawn the room was already full of light and I woke up not being able to fall asleep again. We stayed the next day using the pool and here something happened that made me change my opinion about the experience. We were with our three-year-old and it was very hot, I don't think we did anything strange refreshing ourselves with a small snack of fruit (apricots and plums) lying on the sunbeds. Immediately came a person who treated me arrogantly (despite having apologized a thousand times) was angry about what we did and finally also said "and if everyone comes here to have a picnic by the pool what happens"? We weren't having a picnic, I think it's allowed within a day to eat a fruit while sunbathing. By the way I point out that the room did not come cheap, and the dinner neither (the prices of the restaurant, as well as the bar, are totally unjustified. From some scenes I've seen I could safely suggest a quick and easy way to cut costs, but I don't dare, I think the owners will soon get there on their own to figure it out). I'm sorry, because it's a place that deserves more.

Magic !

Our room with a view was truly magnificent: a sumptuous view of Lake Maggiore, a huge, very comfortable bed, the lady's marble bathroom, space, a very pretty balcony with table and chairs for drinking tea or a drink in contemplating the lake, both day and night. The spa was fabulous: a super classy sauna offering a breathtaking view of the lake thanks to a large bay window; an ice room with light effects, the jacuzzi with massage jets is ideally located on the pool terrace, always with an incredible view of the lake! The breakfast is of very high quality: fresh fruit, real fresh fruit juice, homemade cakes, fresh pastries too, savory of course, in short, the best! The restaurant in the evening is a delight for the taste buds: very fine dishes and carefully selected wines, impeccable service and if you can get a table on the terrace in good weather, in the evening, it's just a magical moment. The boss is attentive and full of good advice on activities in the region. I highly recommend ! Do not miss it !
