...the second time...like the first...indeed, better

Also this year, like last year, we returned to this wonderful place. Given the wonderful stay spent last year, also for this reason the expectations were obviously at least the same. I confirm last year's "10 stars" (those who want to read my previous review). Beyond the great food, cleanliness, silence, courtesy of the staff, in this wonderful place you feel at home. Markus and Fabiana, the owners of the hotel, make you feel at home, and I think this, to spend a real holiday, is the best.

HOTEL A BIT DATED BUT COMFORTABLE, IN A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

Located in a beautiful panoramic position, in a very quiet place.
A somewhat dated structure, but generally welcoming and comfortable.
There are aspects to improve.
The staff, although polite, is not always present at the reception or in the restaurant.
Dinner with well-cooked typical dishes, but somewhat small portions. Breakfast both sweet and savory, but with a somewhat limited selection of products.
The management has changed recently. The owners definitely still need to organize themselves better, but the goodwill is there and it shows.

Needs improvement.

Attracted by the restaurant's offer, we went for dinner... unfortunately disappointing. An appetizer of speck, pancetta, and a Dobbiaco cut with a slicer was disappointing in quality. Terrible goulash. Pieces of reheated meat drowned in paprika sauce with two unremarkable dumplings and jarred red cabbage. Steak was average. Prices are from the center of Bressanone and the wine list is too expensive. We are in Rodengo, not in the center of the world. I personally would revise a few things, but everyone does as they please in their own home.

Overpriced and very basic

We were rather very disappointed by this place consider how much we paid for a night there. The hotel is very old and dated, the room was bit smelly but at least it had a good view. Overall this felt like a very rural cheap small motel.
We had dinner there booked too and it was probably the worst meal I have been served in a restaurant in a while. This was 2 star kiosk quality.
Maybe the old reviews were before a owner change but this place is definitely not anymore what people said about it before.

Peace and sympathy

We stayed at this hotel for the first time and really found ourselves at the level of what food presentation, hospitality and tranquility of the place. We particularly liked the free pass that was provided to us upon our arrival and that we used on the days of stay.
Marcus' kindness and Fabiana's sympathy helped to make our stay even more enjoyable. We'll come back and advertise.
