Perfect base camp for exploring Rome

My wife & I (early 70s) stayed here for two nights in June 2026. We chose it based on a recommendation in Rick Steves' travel book and were very pleased with our stay. It's on a quiet street a short walk from a metro station, so it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to visit. There are also many good restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.
Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly & helpful - especially the weekend desk staff. Our rate included a good breakfast buffet, and the hotel's free WiFi worked very well in our room.

Comfortable hotel, good price/quality ratio

The location is magnificent, breakfasts in the cafe nearby. Clean room, white towels, shower gel shampoo available. Windows won't open, but there's air conditioning. It works a little noisily, but it does its job. The friendly staff at reception. For 1-2 nights it will stop fine. Taxi to the airport 60 euros.

Quaint - Excellent Location

This quaint hotel is centrally located within Roma, walking distance to all city sites. We were safe, close to metro and train and loved the location. Our hosts were helpful and kind. Breakfast was included and good. It was a small room for two large pieces of luggage, (women traveling w a lot of bags!) but it worked for us! Would recommend!

Great location, comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast!

Our vacation began with 4 nights here. My husband and I had one room, and our son and his wife had a room across the hall from us. We were located very close to the breakfast room; we were up by 7 am, and while we could hear some noise from there, it was not very loud. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet (included in the price of the room) was quite good. Every staff member that we met was friendly and helpful. The area is safe, and there are several restaurants nearby. The hotel is minutes away from the main train station and from a Metro stop.
We also spent our last night here before our flight back to the USA. They gave us the same rooms that we had at the beginning of our trip! It was so nice of them. We loved everything about the hotel and had no complaints.

Vintage hotel

Hotel located in the center from where you can turn all the center of Rome. The property is in via Firenze near the Repubblica Metro A stop.
The structure is vintage but functional, although I would insert in the rooms at least one kettle to make a tea.
The bathroom is normal, but, even here, I would change the hair dryers.
Average breakfast, well appreciated that hot drinks were made by the staff and not in self mode.
Personally, if it is less than 100€ per night it is to be taken into account.
Staff very kind and always ready to respond to various needs.
