4 people stayed in two rooms for two nights

All four of us agreed that our accommodation in Rome this time was an exceptional place we have experienced for a long time. Breakfast was excellent and Angela's hospitality was beyond words. The place is located in a very quite and trendy area of Rome. Tram 19 would take to Vatican and bus 53 to the central metro stations. Very good restaurants around, we loved the Sicilian restaurant nearby. We were lucky to find this gem.

A nightmare

A nightmare.
Worst accommodation I've been in in 20 years.
Manager never seen, neither at check in nor at check out.
If I hadn't called the phone I found on the Internet after the intercom didn't answer, I would have stayed on the street.
The rooms are old and smelly, wifi that often does not work. Since you can't get a cellular signal WiFi remains the only option to be connected.
TV that does not work and manager says yes (but without intervening).
The bathroom is microscopic, with mold, old and missing the doors to the micro shower, with 60s curtains. HAS NO BIDET, and in 5 days only after complaints were changed towels 1 time. It floods easily.
They do not dust the furniture (enlarge photos of the bedside table / lamp jour).
Breakfast with 1 packaged croissant and juice. Coffee machine inbound.
I mean, it's not worth 100 euros a night. Ten, twelve euros tops.
Escape.

Beyond the reviews

I booked this b&b for one night and I must say that the reviews read here had scared me and not a little. Instead it was a perfect stay. The host always available on whatsapp, had provided me with instructions to access the building. Comfortable room, comfortable breakfast. I answered a fairy tale. I enjoyed the proximity to the bus stop. Just for an unpretentious short stay.

Unreliable manager

I contacted months before the manager by phone and then X email to book a double X an important family event receiving confirmation. On the outward trip to Rome I call him X tell him the arrival time and I hear him reply that he had forgotten my Reservation and that he did not have more rooms. I was forced to look for a solution outside Rome at the last moment, finding no availability other than at exorbitant prices at other facilities, all with great discomfort.

Descent B&B close to public transport, restaurants and stores

This bed and breakfast is located close to the city center, with only a 15-minute bus ride to big attractions like the colloseum.
Very simple breakfast. We bought our own breakfast.
Close to restaurants and stores, so the location is perfect. We found a parking space down the street for the car as well and had almost free parking the whole weekend.
We could not pay with credit card, so we had to withdraw the money to pay for the room. That felt a little strange.
