Charming stay in the middle of Trastevere

Very charming and beautiful place, quite central in wonderful Trastevere. The room tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. It was easy to find and we got good service in relation to access to the room. Can warmly recommend!!

Cute Unit, Great Location but there are things to BEWARE

PROS:
Pictures of unit? Spot on. Great place.
Location? Fabulous, right off the square.

CONS:
You do need to know: this is an air bnb set up.
Luxury? No. Cute and clean? Yes
You walk through a working restaurant - patrons had to move their chairs during dinner to access the door to get upstairs.
The stairs to the unit are SUPER STEEP and There are a ton of them.
VERY hard with a carryon, let alone a checked bag. It was awful and we are 23 year olds.
The bell tower next to the unit chimes every 15 minutes. If you are a light sleeper, you will not get a wink.

DID NOT SEE THE APARTMENT AS THEY DID NOT LEAVE US A KEY

Arrived at 11 pm on Friday night September 5th 2025. Was e-mailed access code prior to arriving, only to discover that, when I used the access code, there was no key for us to get into the apartment.
Phoned the number they gave me and e-mailed them. We have yet to get a response. They left us STRANDED in Rome on a Friday night at nearly midnight.
Their only responses to me was a reminder to pay tourist tax and write a review on TripAdvisor.it

Misleading name of accommodations- NOT a “luxury hotel”

I wish we knew many important details about Luxury Trastevere hotel before we booked it. First of all, it’s not a hotel. It’s really an Airbnb. There is no staff or front desk reception. The cab cannot drive up to the door since streets are too narrow for cars. The door was small and dark and situated in the middle of a busy restaurant. The stairs leading up to the rooms were dark, dirty, winding and steep. If you have any physical issues or heavy luggage then this is not the place for you. We also didn’t get the code in an email, so we were a bit stressed trying to get into the place. It was hard to understand the property manager through the intercom with all the noise from the restaurant.
The room was clean, large armoire, bathroom stocked with toilet paper and some shower soap. There were 3 coffee pods and machine in the room. I didn’t see any additional coffee in the kitchen.
AC worked very well and the room stayed cold throughout the night.
The restaurant noise went until 1:30 am. Even with the shutters closed it was very loud, so I would advise to bring earplugs.
There weren’t any outlets near the bed so I wasn’t able to use my CPAP machine for sleep apnea, therefore with the noise and not breathing well, I did not get a good night’s sleep.
Check out- since there is no one in the “lobby” we did not feel comfortable leaving our luggage for a few hours so we scrambled and found a storage place.
For transportation one has to walk to find a taxi stand- one cannot request a taxi to drive up to the front door of this “hotel”.
The place is clean and in a lively area, but I felt misled by the title of “luxury hotel”. I wish we had read an honest and comprehensive review like I’m writing. If we had known these details, we would not have stayed here.

Stay elsewhere! This is a boarding house.

This was a terrible accommodation. This place should be called “Boarding House Tastevere” rather than “Luxury” Tratevere. What a joke! Once you finally find the entry door, I literally had to reach over someone dining at the restaurant next door to get to the key pad, which turns out I didn’t even need because anyone can just push there way through the door as the lock has been taped shut; then you have to make your way up two flight of steep, narrow and winding steps to the other door with the key pad to let you in. Once I got to my room I had to use the restroom and the first thing I did was kill a cockroach! The place was very stuffy and the AC is set to a permanent slow setting which is basically a very light breeze that takes hours to cool the place. The bed was stiff as a board, 2 doubles pushed together, the pillows were like pancakes, didn’t sleep well at all. On top of this Trastevre is now completely overrun thanks to social media, so if you don’t get earplugs at night good luck trying to sleep. This is a terrible place and not even a great price for what I paid. Go elsewhere!
