Real evaluation of my experience (ABSOLUTELY NOT TO BE REPEATED)
Deceived by the photos I booked 2 double bedrooms for 4 nights (from 31/12/2025 to 04/01/2026).
Total 1,200 €, that is 150 €/room per night...
The two rooms were two very different rooms, sold, however, at the same high price:
- Room n.1: a double room of normal size (about 14-16 sqm.) with bathroom.
- Bedroom 2: a very small double room (no more than 2.5 m wide and about 3.5 m long) in which, practically, you could just turn around the bed. It had a small entrance hallway with a small wardrobe containing only coat hangers and a shelf. The furniture of the room was completed by a shelf in front of the bed, hanging from the wall, where nothing could be placed, because it would fall. No drawers in this room, not even small. A small hotel fridge was resting on the floor under a bedside table.
In the closet was resting on the shelf a closed safe. Asked how it could be opened and used, the answer was that the safe did not work. So it was just to occupy a place in the already small closet...
In the bathroom, small but complete, without a window, it was not possible to understand how to activate the air extractor. Asked how to activate it, the answer was that it was activated automatically by turning on the bathroom light. Notified that it was not working we had no response to repair it.
Not to mention the view from the two bedrooms: both overlooked an ugly inner cloister, just in front of and close to a series of windows of neighboring houses. At that point I understood why, in the photos on the B&B website, the windows are always covered with curtains from which you can only glimpse light from the outside...
I want to point out that, on the B&B website, the double rooms (twin and twin) are indicated with an area of 37 square meters. See Annex
- Breakfast included. Breakfast was to be consumed in a bar near the B&B and included only a hot drink (tea, coffee, cappuccino) and a croissant only of a certain type, while you could not choose other types (for example a doughnut or a cannoli) even if present in the bar counter, unless you pay extra. This communication was given to us by the bar staff because the owner of the B&B had not informed us of this limitation.
- Owner relations: WhatsApp messages only
So, if you want to book at the B&B Sul Corso di Salerno, you know what to REALLY expect and I leave to you the assessment if the type of treatment offered by this structure is worth the price of 150 €/night per room!
