Personale simpatico!
Zona strategica. Dispongono di stanze con cucinino. Prezzi tutto sommato onesti.
Da provare per soggiorni di lavoro, se non altro per evitare di essere salassati dalle strutture in centro città. Personale simpatico e cordiale. Dategli una chance.

Hotel run by fascists
With the exception to one hotel member of staff, the others at the hotel are indifferent.
FRONT OFFICE PROFESSIONALISM:
Ordered at check-in that my partner and I have to keep the property clean and in order, as the previous guests left the rooms in a state of turmoil. At check-in tarnished with the same brush of previous tourists. 'Cleaning of rooms' and replacement of bedding, towels and shower items every two days - so keep rooms clean and tidy.
No front desk representation after breakfast has finished AND if there are no new tourists checking in. Everything shuts down. Customers are given keys for the building to come and go as they please with the least interaction with the hotel staff.
NO AIR-CONDITIONING in the room even though the temperatures were around 28 degrees centigrade in June 2015. Air conditioning disconnected in the rooms so that it could not be used. The heating system was active and switched on by the cleaning staff at the lowest setting, i.e., five degrees centigrade to 'cool' the rooms. Mosquitoes in rooms at night. Unable to keep windows open. Uncomfortable nights in severe heat. Asked member of staff for improved air-conditioning, informed that the air-conditioning was linked through all rooms and that rooms receive the flow and power of air-conditioning in the order that it is tapped into. SO, if you switch are on the bottom floor you receive a better flow than anyone on the second floor. Also if you keep the air-conditioning on all the time, others in the property that need air-conditioning tap into what is residual from this??? No fans provided to counter inefficiency of air-conditioning.
IDENTITY v ROLES:
The 'cleaning' staff also doubled as the office managers and receptionists.
Cheap, poor quality shower gel and shampoo provided.
Towels and shower gels forgotten to be changed AND fresh/new items not exchanged in their place.
No cleaning sprays/fluids in the rooms; having been ordered to keep the rooms clean.
Washing machine in the bathroom - no small box or bag of washing powder to use in the machine.
Room with a small kitchen - no kettle. No welcome pack of essentials in the room.
FOOD STORAGE:
Breakfast in non-air conditioned cupboard. No windows in breakfast space. No refrigerator.
ALL foods and beverages open to attention from flies.
Sliced cooked meats on the same plate as cheese slices. On one occasion no fresh cheese slices available.
Warm yoghurt, warm cooked meats, warm cheese.
Inadequate sized cups for teas. Chipped crockery.
Depending upon who is on duty for reception, the breakfast tables are generally not presented well. Only one woman made an effort to make the stay at the hotel bearable.
HOTEL APPEARANCE:
Entrance to hotel listed with Russian / Eastern / Central European names as the occupiers within the building??? Hotel doubling as another company, possibly mailing address company or something else. Perhaps Russians et al living at the hotel. All services scaled down to austerity measures???
Conclusion: Poorly run 'hotel'. Perhaps the other business entity of the property is more prosperous, so scant effort is given to the needs of hotel guests. Also sensed a dislike to particular foreigners as guests at the 'hotel'.
Comments as truthful as can be, especially as I am a Hotel Inspector.

Well located, Saronno night life fun but hotel was a poor choice
We selected Saronno as a midway destination near both Como and Milano which we ended up utilizing to visit Como only. We shortened our stay by a day due to our disappointment in the hotel in which we stayed and moved to great accommodation in Milano.
The restaurants and night-life in Saronno on the Friday night was surprisingly good and on the Saturday they held some form of special restaurant/entertainment night in the streets which was amazing.
Unfortunately Mercurio's rooms were poor, beds uncomfortable and senior staff on the desk quite inhospitable and hallways smelt musty. Such a shame after having had such great accommodation and service in all of the other cities and towns we have stayed in Italy?

Ogni tipo di recensione e superflua basta guardare le 2 foto correlate e considerare che in frigo mi hanno messo gli yogurt scaduti da 4 mesi... la risposta della receptionist: ci dispiace e capitato lavandosene completamente le mani...che schifo....non ci tornerò mai piu!!!

Tranquillo e riservato
In zona comoda facilmente raggiungibile, dotato di tutti i confort... Tv lavatrice forno frigo... Attenzione chiedono di lasciare pulito ma non ci sono ne spugne ne detersivi, molto silenzioso in zona tranquilla, materasso comodo.
