Antica Dimora Magi - an excellent place to stay
We stayed in the Antica Dimora Magi for my wife's birthday but also as a hub to visit Sorrento and the Amalfi coast for 7 nights. The hotel is fantastic and in an excellent location right in the heart of Sorrento close to all the shops and restaurants and only a 5 minute walk from Piazza Tasso and the Marina where you can get the boat to visit Capri and the Amalfi coast. But what really sets this hotel head and shoulders above the rest is the hotel staff. They made us feel like part of a family. Their kindness and care was superb and they were always able to help us out with advice on how to get around and what to visit. They also had a special surprise for my wife on her birthday. Breakfast was good and always fresh. Especially Barbara's fruit bowls!!. There is a little outside courtyard to sit in the morning while having breakfast and some sunbeds and a jacuzzi if you want to relax in the afternoon sun.
The hotel itself only has 4 excellent rooms. Which are beautifully decorated. And because the hotel is small it adds to that "personal place away from home" feel. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Sorrento

The Best Time!
We had the most unbelievable time in Sorrento. Staying at this unique boutique hotel was fantastic. The location was brilliant. Breakfast was delicious. The room had everything we needed and more. We would stay again. We also loved the cooking class that was recommended by Anna Bella and Rossanna. They could not have been more helpful and attentive thank you both so much.

Great place to stay
The location is great centrally located. The place is very nice. My daughter loves her separate loft space.

Gem in the heart of Old Sorrento
My wife and I chose Antica Dimora Magi as our home base for our 2 week visit to the Sorrento peninsula. We couldn’t be happier. The location was perfect for us, in the heart if the old city. We could walk to everything: restaurants, shopping, churches and museums, bus station, train station and ferry docks. The ferries are key to getting around and it was. 5-10 minute walk. One note, because it is in the old city, there is no car access to the front door of the hotel. It is a 3 minute walk to Villa Communale Park for taxis. For us, this is well worth the trade off.
The hotel itself is stunning. If you’re reading this, you probably know it was an old palace. The room we had was a good size, well equipped and very clean. However, the reason it is so special are the people. It is a boutique hotel with 4 rooms. The staff; Rosanna, Anna Bella, Laura and Barbara are incredible. Super friendly, professional, and ready and willing to help with any need you might have. Barbara makes one if the best cappuccinos in the city.
If your preference is a smaller property with no crowds (plenty to be found all over the peninsula), a convenient location, and friendly personalized service, this is your place.
One final note, the street, Via Dell Accademia is small and we got to know a number of restaurant and shopping owners. If you are a foodie or wine lover, visit Vincenzo at L’Accademia for a cooking class, wine tasting or dinner. You won’t regret it. His knowledge and commitment to providing a great experience are top tier.

You won’t be disappointed.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city, our room was magnificent. The staff couldn’t do enough for us & even made us a cake as we were there on our honeymoon. Food was delicious, huge choice of different dishes. I’d recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone & am looking forward to returning very soon.
