Enveloping stillness

We met this structure going to dinner for our anniversary... very nice ... atmosphere suitable for the evening an engaging quiet.... very welcoming and attentive staff.... excellent cuisine simple and homemade .. owners very professional and friendly people .. thank you for the beautiful evening.

Great choice

Great choice, between a castle and a farmhouse, very nice, very nice room, only thing, the bathroom window would not open.
View from the room ,wonderful,good service ,good food.
Lq Breakfast could improve.
The cappuccino because of the coffee made with the capsules was undrinkable but the yogurt was very good.
The mini croissant had a smell and taste of butter kept too long in the fridge, the pies poor quality,
It would take little to make breakfast live up to the resort.
The doughnut was discreet.
Large garden almost a park, very well maintained, pleasant to be outdoors.
Then they have a parrot makes tastic shame is for 20 years locked in a cage.

la ringraziamo per aver dedicato del tempo a condividere la sua esperienza presso la Tenuta di Canonica. Siamo felici che abbia apprezzato la cura degli ambienti, la bellezza della camera, la vista mozzafiato e la tranquillità del nostro giardino, che per noi rappresenta un elemento fondamentale dell’accoglienza.
Ci fa molto piacere sapere che abbia gradito il nostro yogurt, che prepariamo ogni giorno in casa con grande attenzione alla qualità e alla freschezza.
Desideriamo tuttavia precisare che il caffè servito durante la colazione non viene preparato con capsule, ma con filtri professionali da bar e una miscela di caffè selezionata personalmente da noi, al fine di garantire una qualità costante e soddisfacente.
Per quanto riguarda le crostate e gli altri dolci, ci teniamo a sottolineare che sono preparati quotidianamente dal nostro chef Pasquale, utilizzando ingredienti di alta qualità, come le farine biologiche dell'antico Mulino Silvestri e le marmellate artigianali provenienti da un piccolo produttore locale o realizzate direttamente da noi, con i frutti del nostro orto e frutteto. Ci dispiace che la sua percezione non abbia rispecchiato l’impegno che dedichiamo a ogni preparazione, e prenderemo sicuramente in considerazione le sue osservazioni per migliorare ulteriormente l’esperienza della colazione.
Riguardo al bagno della camera, immaginiamo lei abbia soggiornato nella camera della torre, una delle nostre sistemazioni più suggestive, ma anche più particolari, per via dell’altezza e della struttura storica. La finestra del bagno, trattandosi di una piccola apertura a quell’altezza, può effettivamente risultare meno accessibile.
Apprezziamo molto la sua attenzione nei confronti del nostro amato pappagallo Mozart, che è con noi da 21 anni. È stato salvato dal commercio di animali esotici e, purtroppo, è estremamente sensibile e facilmente spaventato da fattori esterni che possono turbare la sua serenità. Per questo motivo, lo teniamo sempre vicino a noi e partecipa alla vita quotidiana della Canonica, come un vero e proprio membro della famiglia. Lo amiamo profondamente e ci prendiamo cura di lui con grande affetto e attenzione.
Speriamo di poterla accogliere nuovamente in futuro, così da offrirle un’esperienza ancor più piacevole.

Simply the best

This hotel is simply the best in all ways: the staff, the property, the building and the food. Staying here was the only “relaxing” part of our 2 weeks in Italy. We were sorry to leave early in the morning and not say a proper goodbye to anyone, especially the lovely owner and managers. Sadly I did not get anyone’s name.
We received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for our 25th anniversary. We had dinner here 2 of 3 nights. Delicious food from a fixed tasting menu which changes daily. Very reasonably priced. Michelin rated.
Breakfast was included. A selection of pastries as well as your choice of fruit salad, yogurt and meat/cheese. We were even given breakfast before the normal breakfast time bc we had to leave early to catch our train.
Our room was spacious and had a ceiling fan!! My husband found the bed a little hard, could use a pillow topper perhaps.
The building is rustic and medieval and just beautiful. I would love to spend a stormy night curled up in one of the sitting rooms. One reviewer said it was too dark, but we felt it was perfect.
The grounds are beautiful with a pool and vegetable garden. Many great places to take pictures.
This hotel is on the outskirts of Todi, which was a blessing bc Todi is difficult to access by car. We loved our stay.

For us, is very important that our Guests feel like at their home, we are glad that you apreciated our home made pastry and bread, hand pasta and all the fresh and seasonal local products that we use for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Of course we never let our guests leaving without the breakfast, even if the leaving is early in the morning.

An incredible historic villa surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Umbria.

What an incredible place! At the end of a long winding road along a ridge stands one of the most interesting and beautiful hotels in which you will ever stay. The hotel has roots that go back hundreds of years, and that sense of history is everywhere. Yet the hotel is also modern where it matters, and wonderfully clean and comfortable. The interior decorating is gorgeous, and the hotel abounds with beautiful patios including a huge pool, all with amazing views. The other thing that stands out is the FOOD! We ate dinner at the hotel every night, and the chef created a 7-course dinner that was unique and delicious every night. Overall, the best food we ate in our 16 days in Italy. Lastly, we found the staff to be very friendly and gracious, including Elena, Alesandra, Laura, and Sophia. HIGHLY recommended.
