Ottima posizione, vicino al bellissimo parco con alberi enormi e vicino al mercato verde (Bazar)

Ho soggiornato qui a novembre 2019 e gennaio 2020, mi è piaciuta la posizione, il centro della città, a 2 minuti a piedi dal "Parco delle 28 guardie Panfilov" con bellissimi alberi secolari e c'è la Cattedrale. E 8 minuti a piedi dal mercato verde (Bazar). A novembre c'erano molti turisti stranieri che viaggiavano in Asia centrale e durante l'inverno turisti stranieri che venivano a sciare a Shymbulak. In inverno c'è anche la pista di pattinaggio sul ghiaccio nel Parco. Foto allegata. Pattini che puoi prendere a noleggio 500 kzt per 2 ore e se non puoi pattinare c'è un istruttore che ti insegnerà per 700 - 1000 kzt.

The hostel was easy to find find and is quite central. The dorm room was fine, although you have to prepare your own bedding (which doesn't seem to quite fit). The power outlet next to my bed didn't work and one of the showers didn't work either. The girl at reception is really nice and works hard. She arranged a midnight Yandex taxi for me to go to the airport.

Friendly staff, Well Maintained Toilet and kitchen area

The hostel is close to the center and some of the tourist attractions like the Ascension Cathedral, the Panfilov Guardsmen Park, the Green Bazaar and close to the Bus station going to Shymbulak Mountain Resort. The staff are super friendly and would assist you in anyways that they can. There is a convenient store just beside it.
The female dorm area has no Air condition which might be uncomfortable in summer. I went during the winter and so the weather is quite cold & we only open the windows at night for cool breeze of air. Some Guest sleeps at the main receiving area in the second floor and they occupied the entire place which is annoying for guest who has to work in a quiet environment. I wish the management could change that. The toilet and kitchen is very well maintained. You can ask for a fresh towel everyday or you can wash yours in a washing machine for 1000 Tenge. The hostel is equipped with almost everything. They provide slippers and does not allow the guests to take their shoes inside which is very hygenic.
If someone wants to go to Uzbekistan by train, it is convenient to go by Yandex from the hostel for a very low price.

Disappointing, didn’t sleep well

Generally not very welcoming. Noisy till around midnight, glass doors on rooms mean that quite a lot of light comes into your room at night, thin curtains that cause sunlight to wake you up early. People sleeping outside in the upstairs seating area, so you couldn’t sit there in the morning. Nice artwork on the walls- feels a bit like it was once a previously loved hostel but not so much anymore.

Superb hostel in Almaty in all respects

Superb hostel. Fellow at front desk is the best, chill, organized, and informative. Nice common areas to chill, indoor and outdoor. Comfortable bed. Bathrooms kept clean. I had no trouble accessing one of three showers when I wanted it. Lockers. Great location near Paniflov Park. Appreciate male dorm option.
