Highly recommended for wildlife lovers and photographers
Right from the travel arrangements from Nairobi, the pickup at Olkiombo Airstrip, and the warm welcome at the camp, everything was flawlessly organized. As they say, the first impression is the best impression—and Lorian Safari Camp truly lived up to it without a single moment of disappointment.
Property & Stay
This was my first stay in Masai Mara, and the property exceeded my expectations. The camp is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well maintained, and very secure, offering great comfort after long photography drives.

The food deserves special mention. The culinary team is outstanding, serving delicious Indian and Western dishes with excellent taste and variety. A special thanks to Antony for taking such good care of me throughout my stay—his hospitality truly made a difference.

Mr. Arun is the backbone of this wonderful experience. Extremely professional, warm, and attentive, he ensured that every possible arrangement was taken care of to make my trip memorable. His hospitality and personal attention made me feel truly welcomed.
Safari & Guiding Experience
Mr. Benson—the real magic man of this trip! An exceptional guide with deep wildlife knowledge and vast field experience. Pride by pride, he delivered unforgettable sightings and fulfilled every item on my wildlife wishlist—lion cubs, lion parade, cheetah, leopard with cubs, and leopards on trees, and much more.
He is friendly, flexible, communicates very well, and most importantly, understands the needs of a wildlife photographer perfectly.
Overall Experience
The trip was absolutely amazing. Over the course of the safari, I was fortunate to sight more than 50 lions, 4 leopards with cubs, and a cheetah on the last day—an unforgettable finale.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Arun and Mr. Benson for creating such wonderful memories. Lorian Safari Camp will always hold a special place in my wildlife journey.

An unforgettable stay in the heart of Masai Mara!
One of the highlights was being so close to nature and wildlife. Watching the river filled with hippos right from the property was truly a breathtaking experience and made our stay even more special.
A special thanks to Arun for being such an outstanding host and taking such great care of us during our visit. His hospitality made our trip memorable.
We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and are already looking forward to planning another vacation here next year. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hidden Gem in Masai Mara
Everything is perfect with Lorian. Located 10 minutes from olkiombo airstrip in this bushes along river bank , it’s smack in the middle of Mara, with all parts of Mara accessible within 30 minutes . Choosing Lorian helped reduce commute time and spend more hours in game drives and relaxing.
The Manager Arun is friendly and top-notch professional - he and his team have a great network with transfer providers , airlines and rangers - they ensured everything was arranged right from the airport arrival to our departure . Trust them to plan your itinerary- they know what’s the best to do as per your requirements.
If we had to choose what was the best part of our stay , it would be the choice of guides that Lorian provides . Mr.Benson was our guide, an acclaimed photographer from the masai tribe , he’s a cheatcode to experience Masai Mara. He made sure we had sightings of the big five , including the elusive leopard and Rhino , under 3 days ! We realised it’s very very lucky to see all 5 in 3 days when we came across travellers who were in Mara for 5+ days without completing the big five. He and the other guide Franklin are very well versed with all the prides and animals of Mara and know where to find them at what time .
Also worth of praiseworthy mention is the food & dining team at Lorian. All meals were catered in 3-course fine dining setup , with prior inputs from us on our likes and dislikes. We were honestly surprised by such high-quality fresh food deep inside the game reserve . The Christmas Eve was made memorable with a special cake-cutting with masai songs .
And lastly , after the exhilarating game drives, the tented room at Lorian was a perfect sanctuary to rest with clean washrooms and 24hr hot water, comfy and spacious lounge areas with scenic views of the river. At night, the bushes around the tents are frequented by hippos and it was a thrilling experience to sleep under the grunts of hippos.
At the end of the trip , we felt our trip was indeed worth all the hype that masai Mara has , thanks largely to Lorian . It’s a hidden gem in masai Mara which we will definitely return to again.
