Wonderful, beautiful, exceptional hotel
My husband and I had the most wonderful experience!!! We went there on an extension from a mission trip and to honor our son that we lost in 2018 and also to remember the past from my husband’s family when they served as missionaries over 40 years ago. They would go to the hotel to have apple pie and my son and his wife visited.
When I shared some of my story with the staff, they were so interested, kind and loving. In honor of my son, they asked me what color flowers I liked and I told them orange for James and the next day there were orange flowers in
the arrangements everywhere. I couldn’t believe it! For my husband, they honored his family by singing at dinner and they brought out a special cake which said on the plate, Welcome back to Nairobi!! They added hearts too because I love hearts to help me remember my son. The staff was amazing and took care of our every need. Wonderful, beautiful hotel.

Absolute perfection – and the best service we have ever experienced!
Our stay at Fairmont The Norfolk was spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the beauty, history, and charm of this magnificent hotel. As huge fans of the movie "Out of Africa", it was deeply moving and truly impressive to see and walk through the original locations featured in the film. The historical atmosphere is beautifully preserved, making our stay feel incredibly memorable.
However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was Joseph at the front desk. We can honestly say that we have never experienced such an exceptional, personal, and outstanding level of service in any hotel before. Joseph went above and beyond for us in every possible way. He took the time to ensure, that every detail of our stay was perfect. His warmth, professionalism, and dedication are rare to find and made a huge difference to our stay.
We absolutely loved our time at this beautiful hotel and will definitely return. If you want historical luxury combined with world-class hospitality, this is the place to be. Thank you, Joseph, and thank you, Fairmont The Norfolk, for an incredible experience!

Highly recommend the Fairmont Nairobi
Really lovely hotel. We had a room on the first floor with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the gardens. Nice pool. Good workout facility. Lovely indoor/outdoor bar area. Wonderful staff - can't say enough nice things about the staff. 2 nice restaurants including a steak house and a less formal restaurant where you can do a buffet or order off the menu. We enjoyed all of the food. Great buffet or menu breakfast each morning. The hallway walls are covered in pictures from a different time and tell the story of the hotel. You'd never know you were in the middle of a city.

I arrived using a walker and the reception staff was very accommodating and came to me, sitting in the chair rather than standing counter. Throughout my stay They were very responsive. They checked in to see how I was doing when I informed them that I was not feeling well.
They always had a smile on their face and went above and beyond.

Top hotel in Cairo!
English colonial-style hotel centrally located in Cairo. No high rise like many other hotels. A haven of peace with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Well-kept rooms with air conditioning and minibar. Great food in the restaurants and enjoyed an extremely good service!
