This luxuriously appointed hotel has been designed to reflect the mélange between the modernity and the Arabic Libyan traditional hosting. Located in the city centre it is close to a number of cultural attractions, the antique sites of the Old Medina, the main business districts and important landmarks. Tripoli International Airport can be reached in under a 20-minute ride. The guests' rooms of the venue are expressive yet functional, classically styled with touches of whimsy in warm, vibrant colours. On its premises one can find a marvellous restaurant where even the best gourmets will appreciate the delicious cooking. Whether it is national or international all food is prepared in way which unpacks all its flavours and spices. The onsite café is a convivial space with oriental decoration and perfumes where one can taste the whole day mint tea or Turkish coffee. Amalafrica Hotels Tripoli

I stayed at the small hotel near the sea, very close to the Corinthia, what a great little hotel, near the city centre and really well run and friendly. I wanted to keep it a secret so they were never full, but I promised I would make this review. So if you need a great hotel and a reasonable price call these guys first.

Clean rooms, very basic breakfast.....

Very friendly and helpfull staff, but simple (below standard) breakfast. Location is downtown and very central located, but somewhat noisy with cars passing and people shouting in the streets during the daytime. At night it is OK. All rooms have A/C and basic bathroom.

Clean & Comfortable

Small, clean and comfortable hotel located just around the corner from its sister hotel 'Four Seasons'. Room was large and well equiped and decorated in a much plainer/European style than its sister. You have to use the restaurant at the sister hotel.

Good Value and friendly

The Hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the Medina and Souk, the area is safe but like most of Tripoli not very clean, plastic bags and bottles are everywhere, why? Who knows?
It has a well appointed loby with helpful English speaking staff. Rooms are spacious and clean with satellite, you get Fox Movies, CNN and BBC Worldwide in English. There is a minibar and a coke is £1.
There is a small restaurant for breakfast which is adequate but not of usual Mediterranean standards, selection of food is basic and limited.
The hotel has free wifi which is reasonably fast.
Ask for a room that is not next to the lift.
This hotel is a fraction of the price of the large "Western" hotels so is well worth using.

Bed of Nails

UTS, our travel agent in the USA made three hotel changes for Tripoli; at the last minute we ended up at the Four Seasons. At first we were thrilled to be staying at a Four Seasons, however this was not a REAL Four Seasons, not even close! The room was clean but old and not well maintained. The bed was hard as a rock; like sleeping on concrete. Hotel staff not especially helpful. Breakfast was awful; instant Nescafe coffee but you could get fresh cooked eggs
Positive-ten minute walk to the Medina and to Green Square.
Would not stay here again
