A very first address
Our week-long stay at Villa Elvyra was pure joy.
The house is located directly on the Curonian Lagoon; at night you can hear the sound of waves on the fortified promenade. We had the very spacious apartment no. 6 with a balcony facing the lagoon. It consists of bedroom, living room and bathroom. Everything is sparkling clean and well maintained – every day.
The hostess friendly and accommodating – her two employees, who are constantly preparing a rich breakfast in the kitchen, are true “pearls”. Just how the two prepare new little salad portions in changing compositions every day shows incredible creativity and also the JOY of such creativity. How the word “rich” for breakfast still seems like an understatement. We've never experienced anything so great.
Breakfast can be enjoyed in the large garden, in the beautiful arbor – or indoors in the basement. And many an evening we spent sitting in the garden and looking over the lagoon.
In short: we ate excellently, lived the most beautiful and simply felt comfortable in Villa Elvyra.
Dir Location at the very edge of Nidden has the advantage that no road noise disturbs the peace and relaxation. And with the bikes we were in the center in 5 to 10 minutes.

Great apartment in an idyllic location
Great accommodation with very friendly hostess. We had a beautiful, spacious 4-person two-room apartment (with sofa bed), with a balcony directly on the lagoon. Exquisite and healthy breakfast with many Lithuanian specialties. Location is great, you can walk to the center in 15/20 minutes.

Great place!
"Vila Elvyra" was outstanding and I enjoyed every minute of my visit. Great and welcoming host, awesome and helpful staff and tasty breakfast! Free parking, good location and beautiful view from the balcony! Recommending!

Beautiful location, Helpful and welcoming hosts
We a spent 2 nights at Vila Elvyra’s.
At the time of booking we anticipated we’d be staying way outside of town but upon arrival at the Nida bus station we discovered it was only a short 20 minute walk from the town centre along a beautiful flat pathway alongside the lagoon.
Our room and deck at Vila Elvyra overlooked the pathway, the lagoon and an outdoor gazebo where we ate breakfast each morning. The view was restful and beautiful.
Elvyra lives on site and is a gracious host. She doesn’t speak much English (she speaks a smattering of other languages) but another lovely staff member assisted in translation.
Our room and the entire building were spotlessly clean. Our well appointed room included a kettle and mini fridge. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with 8-12 cold items and salads in addition to several hot items (our favourite were the blueberry blintzes) breads, cookies, and fruit.
One of the days we decided to rent bicycles from the vender next to Villa Elvyra (€10 for the day or €12 for 24 hours).
On the morning we checked-out we asked Elvyra to order us a cab to the bus station but instead she offered to drive us at no extra charge (due to the language barrier we were unsure whether this was because it was too early in the day for cabs to run?).
Our only complaint was that it was quite warm during the day so we wanted to open the window in the evenings to cool off the room but the window screen had holes in it which let in an immense multitude of mosquitos. Window and patio door screens without holes and or a fan would have made our stay more comfortable given that there is no air conditioning.
On a side note for those planning to travel to this region, we’d been forewarned about the mosquitos but nothing could have prepared us for the sheer number of these pests... they were like nothing we’d ever seen before! I’ve since discovered there are even mosquito forecasts in this region similar to weather forecasts (the mosquitos only seemed to be an issue in the late evenings when temperatures cooled off).
Overall it was an amazing stay! I would highly recommend staying at Vila Elvyra.

Perfect gateaway
Nida and Curonian split is an amazing destination. If you stay in Vila Elvyra you even do not have to do homework on what to see and do here as Elvyra, owner of the guesthouse, will give you the best insights. Breakfast is very good (do not miss pancakes stuffed with bananas and cottage cheese), our room on the second floor was very spacious. Free WiFi. Just be aware that although located on the shore of a lagoon, there is no beach for swimming in front of the villa, for that you should visit seaside few km further. City center and cafes are a 15-20 min promenade walk away. From our second floor balcony we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. The overall feeling was that you are a guest here, not just a customer.
