Great hotel and great restaurant

Nice discovery. An address to remember in Luxembourg. Nice comfortable rooms, quality restaurant with tasty dishes served by top staff. Thanks for everything. I'll be back

Excellent

We had an excellent experience at the Hostellerie Stafelter. Beautiful hotel, comfortable guest room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. The location makes for an easy commute to the city, airport, and all major highways. We stayed here while visiting family in Walferdange.

Fancy room, fancy hotel.

Planned on staying 3 nights. Cut our trip short, cancelling one night. Even though we should’ve been charged all booked nights they made an exception for us to allow the cancelation without charge, this understanding and friendliness alone merits 5/5. Staff overall friendly and accommodating.
Our room was on the second floor, number 5. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was big and comfortable. Mediocre view from a small window. Very nice shower. Lack of privacy (with whomever your staying) since shower is open and glass. Room was cleaned well, complementary fruit was swapped for fresher fruit. Tv was rather small.
Construction ongoing right outside window on street. Caused a bit of a hassle to get to hotel, limited noise, expect the construction to be finished relatively soon.
Breakfast on the pricey side, but table service provided some days. You can order prepared eggs, e.g. we ordered the omelets which were delicious.

Good in parts

This was an intriguing stay for many reasons. I made a slight error in not realising the hotel is a fair way out of the city centre - not a problem, it's very close to a train station, local trains run very frequently and the local residential area was actually interesting to explore. However I did note that we had to contact the hotel beforehand to get instructions about the key, as we were arriving on a Sunday night and Reception was not staffed. The key was as described, but the back door is up there flights of stairs, we have heavy bags and not only is Reception not staffed, the hotel is empty except for us. The hotel overlooks a cemetery. I like cemeteries but not everyone does. The staff ( charming and helpful) turned up in the morning. So did the builders for the underpass next door. The hotel is very well appointed, modern and quite luxurious, with excellent double glazing, but those pile drivers were LOUD. A mixed bag. Local restaurants ( including the hotel's own) were great. And we did enjoy our visit.

Recent stay

New, clean, warm and convenient to both Walferdange Gare and Bus 11 to Luxembourg. Staff efficient and very pleasant. Did not use Restaurant but the menu looked good. Restaueant not open every night but check to make sure.
