Great small hotel
This is a great small hotel. Rooms are very small but they have a lot of shelves and storage, and surprisingly it was sufficient for the two of us, having a lot of things (diving gear and whatnot) and 3 travel bags - found shelves for them, too. Rooms have windows (I've read about some other hotels in Rasdhoo which have some or all rooms without windows) - windows face the garden and you probably want to keep the curtains closed at all times (since all rooms are on first floor and people are walking outside), but still it's nice to have daylight coming in. The beds are very comfortable and soft (I've read a few reviews mentioning hard beds here, this seems to be not so anymore). WiFi works fine. The best part about this hotel is its location. Rasdhoo island has a building with diesel electricity generators, which is close to the bikini beach. There's constant humming noise there (which you can hear from the beach or snorkeling there). This hotel is on exact opposite side of this small island, and noise from generators is not heard there - so it's peaceful and quiet. You can still walk to the other side in 5 minutes so it's not far from anywhere. I've been there for diving and this hotel was great. Only a few small negatives: price was not cheap, it was more than $90 a night - I guess because it's a high season, they don't serve breakfast or any food, and they refill soap / shower gel only in small quantities.

Perfect place to stay on Rasdhoo
Stayed for 12 nights at Beach Cottage. Excellent customer experience provided from first communication pre arrival to drop off at the departure speedboat.
Transfers organised by Beach Cottage and guided us to them as our flight times meant some time spent in Male before catching the 16:00 (second of two daily transfers). If you have time to kill the boat from the airport to Male centre is right outside the airport terminal entrance and $1 for the 10 minute ride.
Very lovely welcome. Met at Rasdhoo harbour by Amir and transported to Beach Cottage a very short distance away. Greeted also and attended by Mohammed who kindly straightened our room daily, refreshing towels as needed and replenishing water.
Tea, coffee and a microwave available in the communal area (think they are reopening this for breakfast in peak season). We didn’t mind not having on site food.
The island is small and a 5-10 minute walk gets you any and everywhere. There are 4/5 restaurants to choose from, our favourite being Lemon Drop with the smiliest waiter you’re ever likely to find and a good choice of food.
Beach Cottage room was all we needed, comfortable bed, plenty of warm shower water, air con and ceiling fan, plus a smart TV. Fridge with water replenished daily included and a safe.
Spend a fantastic morning with Amir on a three site snorkel trip. He knows where to go and is excellent at spotting turtles, rays, sharks etc . We saw it all. An excellent underwater cameraman, we have a high quality video momento. A really memorable trip with lucky sightings also of dolphins and a Tuna feeding frenzy. Mr Nizaam the owner a very welcoming host with an excellent team around him. Thank you for creating such a relaxed and friendly place for us to enjoy a much needed break. We recommend you in a heartbeat and hope to see you again.

This place is a real scam and the boss is a scoundrel.
We were confirmed by email the transfer ship and when we arrived we were not even on the list. Because of him we had to pay more: instead of the 80 USD they said, they charged us 97 USD.
After spending 4 days there, when paying, we tried to do it in rufiyas and got away with another trap: its inflated change to 19 instead of the official 16, which meant almost €100 more overpriced. And if not, that we pay in dollars or by card with an extra 3.65%. When we told him that was unfair, the boss treated us in bad ways, with high-handedness and zero respect, forcing us to accept his conditions.
This man is a con man, a scoundrel and a rude man. It takes advantage of tourists and ruins the experience in a place that should be a paradise.
I don't recommend this hotel, even for free.

THIEVES AND EXTORTIONISTS
I DON’T KNOW IF IT WILL BE WORTH ANYTHING, but just because someone reading this doesn’t take this hotel will have been worth it. IN THIS HOTEL YOU ARE ROBBED AND ARE FRAUDSTERS FROM BOTH A COUPLE THE NIGHT BEFORE AND US THE NEXT DAY WE STEAL €100 IN THE FACE. It sends you a message informing you not to pay by card at the hotel because you are charged a 3.65% commission and when you try to pay in your currency it makes a totally ILLEGAL conversion in your face. Also if you refuse to accept those conditions threatens you with not being able to enter the room or not leaving the island the next day since you do not take the money arguing that you refuse to pay when you are actually giving the money with the official change. HE'S A REAL THIEF AND EXTORTIONIST. We have gone to the police station and they have told us that we are not obliged to pay this conversion but that they cannot help us. We had to pay because if we didn't run the risk of missing the flight to Spain. BUT IN THIS HOTEL THEY ROB YOU!!!

Beach Cottage the feel-good oasis
My brother and I spent 2 weeks at Beach Cottage Rasdhoo- it was a great stay from the first to the last minute.
The rooms are very very clean, the bed and pillows are great, the garden is a dream, there is always coffee and water as much as you like and also ice for free.
Mr. Nizaam, Amir and Mohamed are very eager to fulfill all the wishes of travelers so that every guest feels comfortable.
We were picked up at the port on our arrival and taken back to the port on departure. The Speedboat tickets were sold by Mr. Nizaam organized.
Farewell we got mangoes that taste great.
Amir and Mohamed thank you for everything you did for us.
We would like to thank the three of them again - you have made our holiday a dreamlike one.
