Beautiful place to stay

What a gorgeous hotel! We stayed here last week and it is stunning. Breakfast choices were great too and the staff (especially Molly) were so friendly and helpful. George Town is also a great place to stay, very vibrant with lots of cafes, restaurants and bars and fantastic artwork too.

Professional Front Desk, Unresolved Breakfast Incident

While the front desk staff were professional and the maintenance team responded quickly whenever assistance was needed, my experience was overshadowed by how I was treated at breakfast. Despite presenting a valid breakfast voucher as a registered guest, I was made to feel as though my presence needed to be verified rather than my voucher. I was later invited back by the duty manager to receive an apology from the staff member involved, but when I returned, she was not there and no apology was offered. The issue remains unresolved. The hotel has good facilities and responsive support staff, but respectful and consistent treatment of guests should be a basic expectation.

Dining Experience at the Hotel

All the food was delicious, and the dining experience here was very comfortable and enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent. The Wagyu pizza was especially amazing and full of flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying and memorable dining experience.

Did not enjoy the Clarke Terrace House

I don’t usually write adverse reviews but this was one occasion when I regretted my choice of hotel. We paid extra for the Clarke Terrace House with private jacuzzi. Our two bedrooms and bathrooms plus outside terrace area were tired but pleasant (apart from the very hard bed) but the downstairs area was depressing and the jacuzzi stank and was unusable (there is no longer a swimming pool contrary to some photographs). There was also a lot of traffic noise at night. The breakfast was disappointing - whilst I understand that much of the offer was Asian, I was disappointed that there were no yogurts, cereal or even juice! The fruit was very limited and when it’s gone, it’s gone (and yet fruit is so cheap and plentiful all around us.)
