Magnificent small hotel. If it is available you should book it immediately!
Sarah runs this superb small hotel above a patisserie (that offers a discount to guests). Our room was stylish and well appointed, with everything you could wish for in an apartment. We even had a jacuzzi on the balcony - perfect after a day of roaming the local streets.
I highly recommend Domus Boutique Hotel.

A very good boutique hotel in Rabat, Malta
The location is good - in Rabat but very close to Mdina where we enjoyed peaceful early morning walks. The bus stops and taxi ranks were also close by. We really enjoyed our stay.

I messaged the hotel with my arrival details but I didn't get any acknowledgements, even after nudging so I decided to give them a call.
When I rang the number listed on the details page, it eventually connected to an "agent" who after a few attempts passed me the contact number for the actual individual who "runs" the hotel.

An absolute gem!
We booked the executive suite, which has a hot tub and a very large terrace to enjoy. The apartment is part of a small boutique hotel above the Cafe Marie (more about that later). It is on a main road, and because the weather was so bad, we didn't sit out on the terrace, but we did enjoy the hot tub, and it wasn't particularly noisy. I'm sure it would be very pleasant to sit outside in sunnier days.
The apartment is spotlessly clean, and the kitchenette is well equipped. It has all you need for a quiet and comfortable stay. Great shower! We were here over Valentine's Day, and came home to flowers and decorations, which was a lovely touch. Air con/heating is excellent, and we were able to keep the apartment at the perfect temperature throughout our stay.
The location is really good. Rabat has a few shops, and some nice restaurants. You are five minutes walk to Mdina, which is so beautiful, especially in the evening when it's a bit quieter. Lots of nice places to eat there too. The bus terminal is literally across the road, and the service is pretty reliable. We haven't had a car, and we've been all over the island this week.
Even if you don't book this hotel, if you're in Rabat, try the Cafe Marie. The food, the service and especially the cakes are amazing. The staff are very friendly, and made us feel most welcome. Highly recommended!
We've spent a lot of time in Malta over the years, and this is definitely our favourite place we've stayed.
