Worst Hotel Experience – Avoid Le Zenith Hotel & Spa
We were assigned three rooms. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke and had cigarette ashes on the coffee table and floor. It looked like it had barely been cleaned. The second room also smelled heavily of smoke. The third room —the door was wide open, the bed hadn't been made, and it was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned at all. When we returned to the front desk, they apologized and assigned us another room.
The hallway lights operate on motion sensors that barely work, leaving the corridors almost completely dark. We found ourselves waving our hands in the hallway to activate the occupancy sensors to cut on the lights.
Then there was the lack of air conditioning. The thermostat would not cut one, so I went down to the front desk to report that the AC wasn't working. A maintenance worker eventually knocked on the door... carrying a tower fan. He plugged it in and walked away. It was clear the hotel had no functioning air conditioning in the rooms.
The bathroom was dirty, the chair was broken, and the overall condition of the room show significant amounts of differed maintenance.
We check out later that evening as we could not endure the heat.
Based on my experience, the hotel was filthy, unbearably hot, poorly maintained, and completely unacceptable as a place to stay.
I would never stay at Le Zenith Hotel & Spa again.
