Top-top hotel

A perfect whole. From reception to the room, from the room to all the hotel structures. Breakfast, meals, bar... A maximum note to the staff. Kindness, availability and a +++ rating to Adil. Thanks to him for making his hotel such a pleasant and extraordinary place.

Probably the best hotel in Laayoune.

Ok. So, I’m in Laayoune for one night to connect over to the Canary islands. This hotel seems to be the one hotel foreign travelers stay in, so I booked it. Let me start with the good. The room is fine and would be a three star anywhere other than Japan where it would be a four star. The room is spacious, has a nice view of one of the two beautiful inner courtyards and the air conditioning is comfortable and not just blasting cold. The bed is comfortable and the shower hot. But I find the hotel somewhat odd. It’s not friendly. Booking, where I made my reservation, said that check in closes at 9pm. My flight arrived at 7:45. I barely made it due to problems with my luggage at the airport. 9pm at a hotel with what appears to be a hundred room or more? Anyway, a taxi from the nearby airport is 20 dirhams. When I checked in, the man at reception was, at ibest, somber. He took my information, gave me my key, and there was no mention of welcome, wifi, breakfast, what’s in the hotel, nothing. This morning I checked several sites about breakfast. There is a buffet breakfast but I didn’t know the times so had to keep going down to check. The first couple times I went downstairs the lobby area is pitch black. Had the check in man told me when and where, it would have made things much easier. Wifi I found on my own, but it is not identifiable as hotel wifi. You just connect and hope it’s safe. There is also said to be an airport shuttle, but when I mailed the hotel a month ago, I never received a response. I suspect I will be hailing a petit-taxi to go back to the airport tonight. So that’s how it is here. Some of it is forgivable. Laayoune is off the beaten path. But, this hotel really needs to work on being more welcoming. Anyway, the best I can say is that I appreciate the silence and the wifi works. And maybe it’s good to be left to figure everything out for yourself. But I would hope they could do better, like even putting a bottle of water in rooms. We’re in the desert. That might be a good idea. So, overall, a quiet, but slightly frustrating stay.

Excellent professional stay at Hotel Al Massira

We stayed at the Hotel Al Massira as part of a work trip and were very satisfied with our experience. We organized training for our clients, and everything went perfectly.
The room was well equipped, comfortable and perfectly suited to our event. The service was impeccable, with a professional and responsive team that met all our expectations.
Many thanks to Adil, the hotel manager, for his availability and sense of service. His professionalism greatly contributed to the success of our stay.
We highly recommend this property for business trips and corporate events in Laâyoune!

Essential address upon arrival in Laayoune

Very good, comfortable and spacious room, friendly staff, available and competent, very attentive management buffet a little expensive (15 €) and a little empty (but it was late...) On the other hand excellent breakfast (sweet, savory , Moroccan, European) A popular stopover, it seems, for foreigners…

Hotel Al Massira....Good restaurant.

This is a review of the restaurant at this hotel and not of the hotel itself....I dined here twice while on a recent visit to Laayoune....While the menu was somewhat restricted the food itself was freshly prepared and nicely presented...The staff were very friendly and in this regard I want to thank Mohamed,the waiter who served me....The beefsteak and french fries were excellent....The restaurant was super clean....Definitely worth returning to....Highly recommended.
