Beautiful candle-lit villa overlooking the sea

What an amazing place! We loved staying at Villa Laba. It’s incredibly stylish but at the same time manages to feel very homely and welcoming. The whole place is stunning, with beautiful furniture, artwork and gardens.
Our room (number 1) was very comfortable and has its own sun terrace overlooking the pool and with views out to the sea. We loved the fact that (other than one socket in the wardrobe) there was no electricity in our room and that WiFi is only available in the Library. A real chance to switch off and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, totally candle-lit after dark. (Clever touches like the battery powered hairdryer and clip on reading lights meant the absence of electricity never felt like an inconvenience.)
The food was wonderful. Chef Rahim served up a delicious set menu each night, made from the freshest local ingredients. The salt-baked fish was a real highlight!
What makes Villa Laba really special is the team working there. A very big thank you to Rashid and Youssef, Chef Rahim and all the team for making us feel so welcome and so well looked after.
We hope to return again.

If we could rate 6

If you could rate 6, this hotel would be well worth it. Everything is successful: architecture, decoration, garden, panorama and swimming pool. We love everything: the patio, the library, the choice of works on the wall, the detox side (no electric lights, only one wifi point...). But what definitely gets the enthusiasm is the quality of the welcome and the atmosphere at the same time refined and simple, elegant and family that the whole team under the impetus and example of Nawel, the general manager, imparts to the place. A special mention in the kitchen: from breakfast to dinner to tea or aperitif (ah sweet and savoury shortbread), everything is simply delicious, tasty, well presented. We just feel welcomed by a team that loves to receive and enjoy. One suggestion for improvement: more candles in the rooms.

A feel-good oasis in Berberland,
we spent unforgettable beautiful days at Villa Laba. A wonderful place to relax and unwind...the tasteful ambience...the friendliness of the equipe...the culinary delights and the warmth of the hostess Nawal...all this just made our stay perfect.
A special thank you also to Filippa and Thomas for creating this place with so much attention to detail...Merci mille fois et à la prochaine...
