Palais Houssan is magical. The magnificent rooms, the luscious grounds, the exquisite art, and mostly, the gracious hospitality provided by Alain and Ishmael go well beyond any expectations.

A huge thank you to Alain, the owner of Palais Hassoun, for his exceptional Welcoming. His generosity and passion are immediately felt through every detail of this unique place. Its magnificent collection of historical objects tells a vivid and fascinating story, which is discovered with wonder. The palate itself is a real jewel, a mixture of beauty, authenticity and soul. An unforgettable experience that owes much to the passionate and caring spirit of Alain and his staff.

The Moroccan Escape We Didn’t Want to Leave

We stayed at Palais Hassoun for three nights after our Sahara excursion, and it was exactly what we came to Morocco for. It truly captured the charm of Moroccan luxury. The palace is literally set within a beautiful oasis of olive, palm, and cypress trees, which makes you feel incredibly refreshed, and the idea of leaving becomes harder and harder the more days you stay.
The pool is enormous and elegant and has that lovely sea-like color, which contrasts beautifully with the other sandy and earthy tones around it.
We just loved how the whole place is decorated with so much art, and there are tons of spaces to just chill out, whether you're watching the stars, catching the sunset, or, if you're an early bird, even seeing hot air balloons.
We had dinner there and the food was unlike anything else we’ve had in Morocco. We especially enjoyed the big breakfast.
You can also easily reach the small town of Oulad Hassoune, which the palace is named after, and it has a fantastic market that Alain took us around. We actually preferred it to the one in Jemaa el-Fnaa in Marrakech because it felt so much more real. We definitely hope to come back one day!

Bucket List Stay

The property manager chef and owner were spectacularly gracious. The property, pool and grounds are out of a movie and both out stay and the events we hosted were exceptional. The rooms are palatial and it felt very much like staying at your own personal resort.
