Beautiful Riad for a unique experience in Marrakech.

Second trip to Marrakech, and this time we opted for a Riad, and we fell very well, thanks to the opinion of a local friend, very beautiful Riad, impeccable staff, listening to customers, open 24 hours a day, I strongly advise. And if there’s no more room, the owner’s nephew has an equally beautiful Riad just a stone’s throw from the Sidi Ayoub Riad. Do not hesitate to call them for a unique experience in Marrakech.

A Haven of Peace on the edge of the Medina, Marrakesh

Just returned to the UK after 5 wonderful days at RIAD SIDI AYOUB, Marrakesh. Marrakesh is a lively, bustling, in your face place. RIAD SIDI AYOUB was a beautiful, peaceful haven. On arrival we were welcomed with our first pot of mint tea in the lovely central patio, under orange and lemon trees and the small central fountain which had fresh roses floating each day. Our room on the first floor had a comfortable four-poster bed, windows with shutters looking out onto the central patio and a large bathroom (see photo) Hot water from the sink was just a slow dribble, but the shower was always hot, powerful and refreshing. There was adequate cupboard and hanging space for our 4 night stay and there was an air-con/heater over the entrance door which kept us warm in the cool December evenings. A good breakfast was served each morning in a warm room off the central patio where we were able to make friends with other guests. The Riad was family run and nothing was too much trouble to the team. They provided a map, marked out the places we wanted to visit and ordered taxi's for us to places of interest and the airport on our final day. It was an exciting and colourful 30 minute walk through the Medina to the Cafe France in the centre of the city. We thought it was an ideal base for our brief holiday and I would recommend it unreservedly.

The ideal place to rest from the chaos of the Medina

The riad is very cozy and quiet, the breakfast is great (even coffee!). Lhoussaine is a very kind host, very helpful: he gave us great tips for dinners, directions to get around the city, booked our transfers and even waited with us for the transfer taxi back at 3am! We consumed at the riad dinner last night and it was great. I also enjoyed the hammam of the riad, in the energetic hands of the sweetest Kadija, a real cuddle at the end of a tiring day.

Family Riyad That Will Welcome You Back

A peaceful resting place that is full of atmosphere. It is clearly an authentic family residence that rises in about three tiers, with a narrow balcony running continuously round the edge of each tier, above the central courtyard. An ornamental fountain soothes the spirit in the centre. Plenty of space to sit and meditate on the upper terraces in sun or shade. The very clean rooms are much more spacious than expected, with four poster beds, and smaller beds in the family rooms, all comfortable enough for a good nights rest. The bathroom is well stocked and offers plenty of piping hot water. A safe for valuables is available. The staff are always to hand, welcoming and very helpful.
