Not to be missed!

It was perfect good bedding very good breakfasts. We had a very good Welcoming we were even carried our suitcases. Thank you Youssef for this beautiful visit of Meknes and for indicating the sites to visit

Decadent Meknes

Riad a little decadent although it remains charming and with many rooms, perched on internal stairs that do not facilitate those with so much luggage or mobility difficulties. In the room light too soft, bathroom medium equipped but comfortable. Dinner and breakfast in the Moroccan average, cmq good enough but not from Riad high level. Friendly staff

All that glitters is not d’Or

Whatever has changed, this hotel fails to live up to its reviews. It was the most disappointing introduction to our tour of Morocco. The labyrinthine complex of interwoven buildings means that access to rooms, rooftops is exceedingly difficult for all but the most agile.
Of course it’s ancient and authentic but lacks space, comfort, technology and any escape from noise and activity.
The staff made an effort but the whole atmosphere was disorganized and chaotic.
Good central location but two nights was too many.

Messy experience

We had booked the family suite but here would be a problem with the water. Alternatively we were offered a spacious room. The welcome was not very cordial, we did get tea, but this lasted and apparently the room was not ready either. This one was otherwise fine.
Overall impression messy.

The memory of years ago was disappointed!

I returned to this property after 15 years ..... so much had been exciting then .. so much I was disappointed now! The structure always maintains its beauty and charm but is lacking in maintenance and service.
Poor maintenance, towels (few) with holes and frays, bathroom hygiene products almost non-existent, the abandoned terrace (true that it is February and we are at the end of winter... but...). Breakfast at the minimum necessary: we had to pay extra for a cup of coffee with extra milk! I grant the excuse that the city is little frequented by tourists ... first Covid, then years of restoration of the historic city .... let's hope they get back on their feet!
