Could be better.
To begin with, as soon as we arrived, the manager tried to sell us activities to do instead of quickly settling us in, as we had just driven for seven hours and were waiting with my two children, aged four and seven, in 41 degrees. This lasted a good 30 minutes..
Then the facilities need to be reviewed: leaking faucets, malfunctioning switches, frequent power outages, and the TV not working in the room; the activities to do in the desert are expensive: 40 € for one person on a quad, 60 € for two (on the same quad); the staff is not very friendly, and to top it off, the hotel had told me by email that the cake for my son's birthday was complimentary, and we were surprised to be charged 15 € at the end of my stay.
The positives: a walk in the desert, the view is exceptional, and the sunset is just splendid.
The owner of the establishment is very kind, but she has no choice but to hire locals who are not very smiley and not very welcoming in my opinion, at least for a 4-star hotel.
In short, a hotel that could be much better overall but remains very nice in terms of beauty.
If the owner is not there to keep an eye on things daily, it goes downhill!
