Astroea Beach Hotel in riva all'oceano a Pointe D'esny dista meno di un quarto d'ora a piedi da Spiaggia di Pointe D'esny e Ile aux Aigrettes. Questo hotel si trova a 1,4 km da Spiaggia di Blue Bay e 2,3 km da Isola dei Due Cocos. Avrai a disposizione una terrazza e un giardino da dove ammirare il paesaggio e potrai utilizzare servizi come il Wi-Fi gratuito. Le camere sono dotate di balcone o patio. Il Wi-Fi (a pagamento) ti consente di restare in contatto con il mondo. I comfort includono casseforti e accessori per la preparazione di caffè/tè, mentre le pulizie sono eseguite tutti i giorni.

We went there very recently (April-May 2026). The stay went well. The staff is super welcoming and professional. The view of the beach is really the big asset of the hotel! There is 1 animation per month (usually at the end of the month) which is good to know.
For those who are looking for peace and quiet: this hotel is perfect.
There would be renovations to do because like most hotels in Mauritius, he is not very young anymore. But that does not detract from the fact that we are there. Comfortable bedding, I confirm.
It would be good for locals as well as tourists if possible, to set up 1 other activity (karaoke type for example) either once a month or once every 2 or 3 months. Be sure to warn on the hotel website the frequencies of animations so that people allergic to the atmosphere (I specify that this is not my case) take their disposition not to come at these times. That way they won't be able to complain about the noise afterwards...

Reception service and non-existent invoice

Small aging hotel at the tip Esny rather a beautiful view, room that would need a re lifting , hotel often being a place of passage for people who want to get closer to the airport, which is nearby
The service is very random as this Saturday, April 3rd at noon with a very active service then departure of the chef and there different service the welcome no longer helps etc.. Same for the check out paper invoice no sending mail possible then when request to receive invoice of the whole ok let's send it to you then finally apologetic mail yes let's send it to you and there are the 17th of April and since the 4th of April still nothing!!!

Good restaurant

The restaurant is very good, but the location is only worth it on sunny days. In August with the coastal wind it is a bit useless because you dine inside and the location is a bit sad. The food is good though

Really disappointing stay - not value for money

We had higher expectations for Astroea Beach Hotel, but unfortunately the experience did not feel worth the price paid. The location by the sea is beautiful and the view is definitely the hotel’s main highlight, but overall the stay was disappointing, especially for a family with children.
The bungalow was in need of renovation and did not feel well maintained. To make matters worse, there was an unpleasant smell when we checked in, which gave a poor first impression from the start.
The food was mixed. The à la carte dishes were nice and well prepared, but we were expecting a buffet, which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Breakfast was also quite limited, with very little variety of fruits and not many choices overall.
What disappointed us the most was the lack of activities. Unlike many other hotels in Mauritius, there was almost nothing to keep children entertained. My two sons were bored for most of the stay, and there is no swimming pool.
On a positive note, the waiters were polite, respectful and had very good manners. Their service was one of the few aspects we truly appreciated.
All in all, the sea view is lovely, but the hotel does not offer enough facilities, comfort or entertainment to justify the price. If you are planning a stay with children, I would honestly suggest considering another hotel. There are better family-friendly options available for the same budget or even less.

Astroea Beach is a small, intimate beachfront hotel offering a peaceful and personalised experience. It is not positioned as a full-service family resort and does not feature a swimming pool, buffet restaurant, kids’ club or organised children’s activities. These characteristics are reflected in the hotel information available when booking, but we regret that the experience did not correspond to what you and your family were looking for.
We understand that families seeking extensive facilities and entertainment may be better suited to a larger resort. Nevertheless, every guest should receive comfortable, well-maintained accommodation and attentive service, and we sincerely regret that some aspects of your stay fell short of this expectation.

A peaceful little hotel with a beautiful beach

We arrived late in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and security guard. They were both very kind and friendly, which made us feel at ease straight away.
Astroea is a small and quiet hotel, making it a lovely place to relax and switch off. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a minibar and a TV. It could do with a little updating, but it was comfortable and practical.
The food was very good and we enjoyed our meals. The hotel is also conveniently close to the airport and has parking available for guests with a rental car.
The best part of the hotel is definitely the beach. It is peaceful, beautiful and a lovely place to wake up early and watch the sunrise. Overall, we had a calm and relaxing stay.
