Great
We just completed our 5-day stay at Maria's Kan Kin in Isla Mujeres, and it was wonderful. This is a beautiful, quiet boutique hotel with amazing breakfasts included in the room rate.
We enjoyed lunch and dinner at the hotel every day. While the food was a little pricey, it was absolutely delicious, so we didn't mind paying for the quality and experience.
Teresa at the front desk and her assistant were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant staff was also outstanding and provided excellent service.
The beach is gorgeous, although it is on the smaller side. If you're considering staying here, keep in mind that this is a romantic, charming boutique hotel rather than an all-inclusive resort with numerous activities and entertainment options.
If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway with great food and personalized service, Maria's Kan Kin is an excellent choice.

Extraordinary in every way possible.
If you love a quaint hotel where you are treated like family this is the place. I believe one of the best beaches of any hotel on the island. Very family friendly. We came as a couple but every family we met loved staying here. From swimming in the pool or ocean, building sandcastles, to enjoying a kayak paddle all included. The room we stayed in was clean and overflowed with the charm that brings us to isla. There are many other room types from ocean front to family suites. Lastly if you are price shopping there is no better beach and don’t forget the value of the included breakfast. When figuring value in my opinion the breakfast is worth about 50.00 per day for a couple and it is excellent. I will post some photos but if you want a real taste of the hotel. Go to SCHMOOPS ADVENTURES on YouTube. He does some great videos of the island and also one of this hotel. This is how we discovered Maria’s Kan Kin.

We LOVE this property. The restaurant, food, the rooms are nice and cold and simple.
Lilly the manager is awesome! Always helpful and kind and accommodating. The rooms are cold, cozy, the property is lush and beautiful and they maintain the beach and pool.
It's one of our fav places to stay. We like to support Mexican owned businesses when we visit. I would suggest one majorly important thing. While we love love this property the beds are very firm and not as plush and restful. They should consider updating the mattresses.
I know FIFA is a big thing right now with the world cup, but they shut the music off at the restauarant and blaired it so loud to the beach that all of us that were resting and relaxing had to hear it for HOURS every day. It's okay to play them of course and it was a huge draw for them however it was not for all the visitors and guests. I had my own speaker and played it and everyone NOT INTO FIFA thanked me and agreed that it was not enjoyable.
Lilly understood and tried her best.

Loved this place!
My partner and I stayed at Maria's Kan-kin (run by the lovely Lily) for a week in late March/early April. The accommodations were affordable, homey, cozy and clean. A big perk in staying here was accompanying restaurant/private beach club called Jessica's (separate company - but partners with the hotel). A free daily breakfast came with our room; this was not a danish and coffee kind of deal. It was virtually anything off the menu! My only complaint was the hotel didn't provide bicycles to rent - as many properties on Isla Mujeres do. Other than that, highly recommend!

Great time at Maria’s Kan Kin
Just got back from Isla Mujeres. Stayed at Maria’s Kan Kin and it was wonderful. The accommodations, rooms, beach and restaurant all were great and Lily who runs Maria’s is just the best. Planning on going back in November won’t stay anywhere but Maria’s Kan Kin. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.
