We stayed in the property for 3 nights. The issues started with the check-in - it's self check-in with a code at the main door but with the key to the room hanging outside - therefore anyone has access. We arrived at 3am only to find someone already sleeping in our room.
We stayed somewhere else and had to pick up the key at reception the following day. We areanged a time and when we arrived, there was no one. They left the key hanging on a lamp but didn't bother to leave a message.
The rooms were very dirty and dusty. The bedsing and the towels all had big yellow stains.There was no space to fully open our suitcase either. The bathroom was also in a very poor condition, the toilet was dirty.

I had a very distressing experience at Casa Panuco. Upon arrival, the room door was already open and the lock appeared loose, making it impossible to close properly. As a solo female traveler, this was extremely concerning and made me feel unsafe from the start.
Later that night, when I went to bed, I noticed a strong body odor coming from the sheets and pillowcases. Upon closer inspection, I found stains that appeared to be bodily fluids, suggesting the linens had not been properly cleaned.
The bathroom was also in unacceptable condition. The sink had visible mold, and the towels were dirty. Additionally, the ceiling fan was covered in dust on both sides, which further reflects the lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.
It felt like the room was made available without any inspection or basic hygiene standards. I attempted to contact support through the app multiple times and never received a response.
I was traveling for work and only returned to the hotel at night, which made the experience even more unpleasant and frustrating.
All of these issues have been documented with photos. I have already filed a formal complaint with Expedia and I am requesting a full refund. I would not recommend this property under any circumstances.

This was a great location if you're visiting, walkable (~15min) to Museo de Arte Moderno, and close to Chapultepec Park in general. On top of a yummy breakfast place and highly rated Hookahs Cave. Walkable to transit. There are tons of casual dining options if you go east. I loved that there was a kitchenette, the sink also had a filtered water nozzle so you didn't have buy any. Loved the outdoor patio seating area.
I stayed in room Monarca with a private bathroom, which I prefer, just pay attention to this when you're booking. The rooms also vary so you can't fully pick one (unless try to request), mine was quite small just fitting the bed with some walking room, but worked as a solo traveler. One negative, as I was on the floor with the kitchen, is it could get quite loud from the housekeepers cleaning at 8-9am, if you're not an early riser.

the house was well equipped for a short stay and it was convenient that it had a kitchen. The materials used in renovating this house are worse for wear, despite good maintenance. The bed was comfy and the room adequately sized. The location is really good to access the metro and walk to attractions in the city
